I like some of his articles.
Obviously he’s a UK detractor to some extent, but to me in the grand scheme of things his impact on UK is about zero. He clearly markets himself as a biased UT fan, so his words on UK are never taken seriously even by most UT fans.
Now compare him to the all of the Puke and UNCheat alumni and other east coast bias folks on E!SPN who falsely market themselves as unbiased commentators. Those people can and have done a lot more damage to UK basketball than someone who wears his fan bias on his sleeve like Travis does.
I'm an independent - by the way. I just find him funny while Bangs is pretentious.

Yeah me neither, I try not to hate anyone, and hopefully love everyone. Hard to say you’re a good Christian when you hate people. That’s one thing that brought me back around slightly to MJ, when he said something similar when everyone was hating on Rush Limbaugh after he died.

Clay Travis is a sellout and would do anything to anyone if it meant popularity for him. I mean, the dude has exploited his own children (the lice scandal) just so he could make the rounds on shows like Inside Edition.

The purchase granted them controlling interest of Hulu, which allowed them to bundle it with the launch of Disney Plus. Instead of having a competitor for their streaming service, they just acquired it, bundled a lot more content with it, and also put themselves in the Live TV subscription game.
They also acquired the full rights to Marvel content. Fox had owned the rights to X-Men prior to the acquisition.
Disney also acquired the rights to Avatar, The Simpsons, and a couple other TV shows and networks/content (National Geographic) that have decent syndication value. I imagine they will invest big into the future of Avatar like they did for Star Wars.
They also gained control of some foreign broadcast properties. Disney was gunning for control of Sky in the UK, but that fell through, but they walked away with a big network in India.

It’s a brilliant career move, but it leaves me questioning whether he’s done a full 180 from 2012 and is being sincere in his takes OR if he is playing a character to make money off if those who need a right leaning sports person to follow.

Only thing I disagreed with Jones on is after the Mitch book came out, KSR did a live remote, and Jones spent a few minutes at the beginning explaining why he thinks Mitch is bad for the state. He clearly wasn't running at this point, but it sounded like a stump speech and I thought, "eh, these folks watching you probably don't want to listen to this." Other than that, the show is entertaining and much better than anything else in the local market. Here in Louisville, the Deener show does an entire week of just pre-Derby talk.
