Listened to parts of ksr this morning to commiserate the loss. Alot of talk about the sports betting bill but still no mention of the direct financial interest Jones et Al have in getting it passed.

Of course it will all come out in a few days/weeks, but that type of disingenuousness just doesn't sit well with me. I respect the hustle but don't understand not being forthcoming about certain things

Expand on that please. How does it help him? Honest question

Was told by someone there is a tentative deal in play for either their own betting app or an affiliation with an app. My guess it's the latter. All of his other ventures, his initial capital/interests were pitched as being able to drive traffic/pr; so I suspect this is the same.

That's why I said before I actually have alot of respect for what he does. He's involved with several local ventures where his monetary investment was very small in comparison to potential return. The capital he brought was in reach and pr. It's a great deal for him I just don't like how he acts like some of this stuff is organic when it's clearly a disguised promotion of self/business interest.

Could the info be bad or outright wrong? Sure. I doubt it, though given the track record. Either way, we'll see. I'm not hating on him for doing it. I actually think it's probably going to be the best profit of anything he's involved in. I just fault the way he pushes it acting as if he has no personal interest

I’m not going to say you’re wrong but sports betting is almost assuredly going to be tied to the horse tracks. Maybe he has something up his sleeve but that seems like a stretch.

Just know what I was told. Don't know if it's right, partly right, or not right at all. But I highly suspect it's at least partially right. We will see. Doesn't matter to me either way

I guess Churchill or Keeneland could invest in KSR like Penn did with Barstool to promote their sports gambling side.

That's why I think it will be the affiliation/promotion aspect. Too much investment involved with starting an app or company infrastructure from the ground up. Someone else will handle that and ksr will be the partner but in charge of promotion. That's how his other ventures mainly went.

odd ball question, I didn't want to start a new thread

how do I send a PM to someone here? I guess they call it "conversations". I have had them started with me but I don't see any way to initiate them with another member

See the square quote box by your name/avatar and notifications? Upper right corner. It's in the middle. Click that and figure it out.

Doubt it. Let me guess - you are on a mobile version of some kind?
no I have the conversation box and I have a couple of conversations people have started with me. I just expect to see a "new message" or similar button and I don't have it

You're not too dumb... pretty sure you have to be a subscriber to send a message, but if they (a subscriber) sent you a message, you can converse.

I will say about Travis is he probably is sucking up the dollars from the conservative audience. That said, he voted for Obama and then trump so at least he is willing to change his voting up based on candidate and not purely a 1 party guy like most. That said, now that is he a conservative political talk show host he has to go to republican until he leaves that arena.
