This completely against Dabo’s culture that he goes on and on about. Guess we will see if it works or if it plants seeds of discord.

Yuck. Let’s keep White.
Name most connected to Alabama I've seen is former Wisconsin DC/interim coach Jim Leonhard. Apparently Saban has tried to hire him in the past. He's currently floating, is also being mentioned as Derek Mason's replacement at Oklahoma State.

He had one but looks like it expired and AU hired him soon after.
Yeah - Pearl sat out a few years and did some broadcasting work and worked at a marketing firm while his show cause was in effect. Auburn jumped at him as soon as it expired.

With that said, the way the NCAA is letting everyone off with a slap on the risk and have zero teeth I can see Pruitt getting off easy. Things is - would Saban want someone that toxic and dumb on his staff regardless of ability? If anyone is unstable enough to screw up Saban's legacy, it would be Pruitt.

I would go hard after the Wisky guy or UGA's co-DC. With a strong enough financial offer, he will be able to land one of those dudes.

I think with the Riley hire at Clempson, Dabo looking at his future replacement.

He’s gonna be number 1 name on list when Saint Nick decides it’s time to leave.

Think Pruitt is being considered for analyst, not on field position.

Could be but I feel he's a bit too "aw shucks" for that fanbase. Also, he's not adapted well to the portal and NIL

Clemson used to funnel money to recruits and basically buy them to keep up with Alabama and Georgia. Then stock pile talent as it was hard to leave without sitting a year. With the portal (instant eligibility) and NIL they've suddenly dropped a bit and word is they don't have the cash to keep up.

Without the Jimmy and Joes, Goober is finished.

Clemson has a long established grassroots fund called IPTAY, started in the 1930s and stands for "I Pay Ten(dollars) A Year" and the last time I looked it had $40M in it...NIL shouldn't be a problem at Clemson.

Interesting. Rumor is, prior to NIL, Goober and his staff funneled money through some church and it miraculously landed in the hands of top recruits. This started approximately around the time Clemson went from an average/good recruiting school to a school who was pulling Bama targets and top 5 classes.

As far as NIL, I got this info from some of the Clemson posters on the main board. They seem to think the NIL money isn't flowing and it's having an effect on recruiting. Maybe it's Goober being a prude vs not having funds? He's been on quite the high horse regarding NIL and the portal.

Pruitt has worked for him twice and he is an elite level DC if the head coach can keep reins on him, Jimbo couldn't, neither could Mark Richt. But as history shows he doesn't have the social skills to be a head coach.

UGA will match any financial offer for Schumann. He is the next on defensive staff for a head coaching job, but he is a Bama grad and that might be a draw for him. Muschamp has about 25m buyout money from 2 head coaching jobs, wife is down the road from parents, son is on team and him are Kirby are best friends, think he is there as long as Kirby is.

Yeah it's one of those mega churches, I can't remember the name.

Ain't nobody in CFB want to sit in Nick's chair when he hangs the whistle up. Esp guys at established big time winning schools like Kirby & Dabo. Kiffin I guess is angling for it, like doing a favor for Bama & their fanbase by taking Golding off their hands.

I know the dude is a dynamite recruiter but between Muschamp and Kirby, I will not feel sorry for you if Schumann walks. I also doubt your defense or recruiting will take a step back. :)

That was one of the things circulating on why he didn't take the AU job. With the way Ole Miss fell apart this year they may not want him.

Don't want to lose him but if we do Kirby will bring in another hungry guy. Lanning was elite recruiter and his replacement didn't miss a beat, I can't even pronounce his name.

Who knows what the actual truth is but thats a rumor started by Gamecock fans. Its NewSpring church which is one of those sprawling megachurches. Their recent 10-3 and 11-3 seasons dont have as much to do with lack of talent as they do issues with coaching/key personnel. QB play has been bad and folks have been clamoring for an offensive change for 3 years now. Dabo finally realized a scheme change/new edge is needed.

Clemson doesn't have a massive alumni base like some traditional powers, therefore, the NIL money is a tougher sell. I dont see them competing solely for a kid who wants straight $$$, but they still get who they want, for the most part. Acquiring talent there is not a problem...Clemson and Clemson football sells itself...anyone who has gone there can tell you its a place you want to be....and thats aside from the particulars inside the football building. Im sure some kids got paid here and there....but that went/goes on all across the south.

He hired Briles to blunt thr reaction of "oh no, an O line coach, we are going to be a boring slow run only offense!".

The biggest loss for Arkansas and Pittman is his DC
