Looking ahead but fans can do that. I remember the run they made last year to elite eight. Alabama barely beat them to get to final four. My question is, how many players do they have returning from last season? Did they lose some key players? I’m assuming so, since they’re not ranked in top 25

Yes, they lost one of their best players, PJ Hall. Not sure who else they lost.

Being at home will help them. The Tiger fans seem to enjoy their basketball. The crowd will be fired up since it's Kentucky. BBN.

I just looked them up. Last year I remember they had a 6'10 Forward (Hall) who did it all, was 1st team All-ACC. He is gone.
But they return two 10+ppg scorers. Hunter (6'4 Sr G) leads them at 16ppg, was a double-digit scorer past 2 years for them; he has started out hot making 50% of his 3's. Schieffeilin is a 6'8 (240) PF that last year was 10 & 9, and this year is 12 & 10. And they added a 6'10 250 C from Cincy that is averaging 13 & almost 7. After that it looks like role players.

It's our first true road game too so I'm sure it will be a battle.

I know we opened the 97 season with a loss to Clemson. Ended up being a very good Clemson team, and Kentucky was pretty good too.

If I'm not mistaken that game was in Phoenix on the way back from another game or tourney. Greg Buckner from Hoptown was on that team iirc.

We opened the 1996-1997 season with a loss to Clemson in Indianapolis. Sadly, I was there.

We are 1-2 in our last three meetings with Clemson. Granted, that's over the course of 45 years. Overall the series stands at 12-4 UK.

Will be an interesting game. We haven't played them since RIck was here and that was in Phoenix.

Clemson will make the Cats earn it. They are similar to the Cats in that they have a bunch of guys who have been to the wars and produced. Other than Gonzaga they are the one out of conference game that will be very difficult for the Cats to win.

We have 4 tune up games, they have a harder schedule going into our game. We will see which works better. If Clemson loses a game or two they could be more motivated. Will be a good game either way. Get the kinks out of our game and we will be in good shape for a ton of games and should be in almost if not all games. Always could be a game we have issues (just not our night). We will see.
