Clemson vs FSU.

Louisville is one of the teams that has played us both this year so what are you guys' thoughts about that game this weekend?

Right now FSU is a 12.5 point dog, the only time we've been a double digit dog under Jimbo Fisher.

Plus, all signs are pointing to Sean Maguire (he started in place of Jameis Winston vs Clemson last year) starting this weekend ahead of Everett Golson.

I actually think the spread is about right. Clemson is number 1. We are young and have played inconsistent on the road.

Having said that, this isn't a mismatch talent wise in my opinion. I think if we come out and play a clean game we can at least put ourselves in position to win in the 4th quarter.

What are you guys' thoughts?

Well ... we played Clemson a lot tougher than we played you guys ... But I don't know that that is necessarily an indication of anything. Our offensive struggles surrounding our QB, and especially our OLine, kinda make it tough to take anything away from our team on a week-to-week basis.

I gotta confess, that I'll be pulling for Clemson (as I did Florida State last year) to try and get our conference into the playoff. But it doesn't mean I don't have respect for, and never root for, your Seminoles.

If Dalvin Cook can play, I think that is an equalizer to a degree. That kid is extra level special. He's KILLED us in two straight years. (And was more responsible for the FSU comeback last year at Papa John's than Jameis, although Jameis did make a couple of plays in the comeback too.)

This is obvious too, but if DeShaun Watson has a solid game, that could be big trouble for y'all too.

I'm looking forward to a great game - if I bet it, I'll prolly take the points, as I expect it to be a close one.

I'm with you. This is the kind of game where if Clemson wins, I'll tip my hat to them and cheer them on to go all the way.

I'm actually not giving up on making the Playoff yet though and I'll tell you why: 1) Florida is better this year. They are likely to be a 1 loss team that is Top 10 or Top 5 when we play them and we play them on the road. So if by the slightest chance we beat #1 Clemson if we were then to run the table and beat Florida that would be 2 Top 10 road wins on our resume. Then if the Coastal winner is ranked you're talking three ranked wins.

The committee showed last year with Ohio State (who lost by 14 at home to a very bad VT team) that they'll forgive a loss or even a bad loss if you stack your resumes with good wins and are playing good football at the end of the season. But that also depends on how teams in other conferences do.

So don't think Clemson is the only team with a shot to get in the Playoff from the ACC. But with Clemson it is shoe in as far as getting in as long as they keep winning. With us there are more variables at play.

But I have the utmost respect for Clemson and I hope we can bring our A game and make it a good game for fans to watch.

Good points .... I had not thought that FSU had a shot after the loss to G Tech. But you make a case.

Good luck to you. It should be a good game.

We have a shot. The committee puts a weight on Conference Championships. But we are competing with 4 other Power 5 Conferences plus Notre Dame plus the Memphis/Houston winner.

A lot of it depends on if we win out and how all the other teams do.

As we were told when we played Clemson, you guys need to take an L for the conference. FSU could win this, but I think Clemson does, but doesn't cover the spread.

To add to that, I have no preference other than I don't want the committee to be able to put 2 SEC teams in. I think GT killed any chance you guys had when they lost last week.

I think this game will be close. I'm picking Florida State to win this game.

Death Valley is a tough atmosphere to play in, now probably more than ever, but I think Florida State pulls the upset.

Both teams are tough and both deserve to win this game, but I think Clemson might falter under the pressure of being number 1.

Florida State will use the underdog role of playing against #1 to get more motivated to win.

They are use to being #1 and would want nothing more to beat the #1 team I assume.

I have no favorite in this game as I remain unbiased, and highly respect both teams as they are both extremely talented.

I can truly see this game going either way.

Clemson didn't give us their best...and we didn't give youall ours...but, the Tigers are elevating their play as the season goes on and FSU is struggling with key injuries and QB instability (which wasn't a problem when we played you).

For those reasons, I'm going with Clemson to cover...sorry man.

I am extremely happy Clemson won. They seemed to lose games like this in the past, but not this time. They are as good as anyone on both sides of the ball. Earlier today, I had friends who were trying to decide which team they wanted to win. If you are a U of L fan and you did not immediately know the answer to that question you do not get it.

The better team won. We've had a good run. Nothing lasts forever. Hope Clemson goes out and wins the whole thing.
A tough ball game. Clemson took an early punch but fought through to the end. Neither team has anything to be ashamed of. I respect both programs. Both are THERE, we want to get THERE.

Best of Luck the rest of the way.

They are good. The defense is really good and they have a good QB. They'll be tough for anybody to beat either in the Regular Season or the Playoff.

Just have to say, if FSU was unbeaten and Clemson had a loss, I'd be all FSU, like last year after you beat us. If it is good for the ACC it is good for all.
