2 absolutely abysmal calls that lead to 14 Pitt points. Without those two calls Clemson wins this game.
Yep. My guess is this isn't good for the ACC's hopes - which were slim anyway - to get two of the 4 spots.
Pretty irrelevant loss for Clemson overall. They win out, they still get in as the ACC champ.
This could allow the committee to rig it as an Alabama vs. Clemson semi-final game. I think that will be the match up we see while OSU gets Washington in the other.

Not convinced Clemson makes it now. If Michigan loses Vs OSU they will have 1 quality loss. Clemson loses to an unranked team. So Michigan will certainly have a case.
Where do you feel they should have been ranked with wins against the 18th, 9th and 6th ranked teams in the country?
He was saying that they didn't deserve their current ranking. I am curious where he thought they should have been ranked going into today? If teams win out today, I would put them 5th behind Ohio State and in front of Louisville.
I would put Louisville ahead. Louisville played them to the last play on the road, if not for a bonehead move from their wide receiver. Committee has already stated they value quality losses. Of course that seems to change from week to week.
I was thinking 3rd or 4th. They did have wins, but didn't pass the Eye Test to me.
Trying to think of a way Louisville could get into playoff. I think Bama and either Michigan or Ohio State are certainties.

If Washington loses tonight or against WSU and doesn't make the Pac12 title game, or if they lose that game, they're out.
If Michigan v OSU is a close I think they both get in. Plus Bama. That leaves one slot. Clemson and Washington have better chances than Louisville, especially with Louisville's remaining schedule. But there are ways they could get in.

Quality losses are nice, but UL only has 1 quality win (18th team in country) while Clemson beat the same team plus the 6th and 9th ranked teams. We will find out on Tuesday.
I see no way they put in 2 1 loss Big Ten teams over a 1 loss ACC Champ in Clemson, which will have one more victory than one of those 1 loss Big Ten teams and a conference championship.
