Is Georgia Tech having a bad year?
Hard to tell but Clemson is the top team right now. Gotta believe there are 4 teams that are above and beyond everyone else: Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and OSU - pretty easy choices. All of those teams have basically the same roster talent level and can beat the other 3 on a given day. Maybe ND and PSU could join that group but more needs to bee seen with those two.

So do I but it needs to be proven on the field...no more talking. :)

I can’t disagree there. This is year 3 and we should see improvements this season and a team that looks much better then the last 3 seasons (which I’m confident we will). But agreed, I’m with you on that.

But now I have to say this, I never got the whole “No more talking” comment. Now, I’m not trying to be an a$$ here to you. We have been being decent to each other for bit now and I want to keep that going. But I have to say that being fair to the players and staff. There has been no talking going on by the coaching staff, players or any of them.

Yes, Bill Moos did some talking when he first hired Scott Frost and did a little more before year 2 (actually fairly mildly) and the media definitely did some talking before last season (but that’s not our fault). But the staff and players have been pretty low key on all that stuff since Frosts been here. Just saying....🤷🏽

I have never had a problem with the majority of your posts. I think half of your post likes are from me...LOL. Winking

I understand your thoughts. Things have been lower key heading into this season with regards to comments coming out of the program.

Like all of you...I just want to see improvement on the field. I want to be able to suspend what is going on in life for a few hours a week and just enjoy some Husker football before going back to the real world.

Agreed 100%....

I used to let the Iowa and Minnesota trolls get under my skin and argue with them on these boards and I’m sure no one enjoyed seeing that crap. But I have since stopped doing that and actually started putting those guys all on ignore instead.... ;)

FSU has a better record over the last 10 years than Nebraska, including a BCS championship. Heck even over the last 4 years as bad as it seems it's better and they have played in 2 bowl games over those 4 years.

As much of a dumpster fire as FSU seems its not as bad as our Dumpster fire has been.

It’s odd the #5 team in the country is only favored by 13.5 points over FSU.. seems low, right?
Well remember the line is ultimately set to draw betters at a 50/50 mix. It's not necessarily a measure of the teams.

But 13.5 is a lot.

Absolutely not true and that one is easy to figure out. One team is in the BIG 10 (Huskers) and the other is in a very weak ACC conference (FSUcks). I’d hope they done a little better over the last 3 years. For one, go compare the two teams records the last 3 years and see who’s had the tougher schedules?? Just because they got a couple extra wins over the last 3 years absolutely does not mean they aren’t worse then us.

FSU was 5-7 and 6-7
Huskers 4-8 and 5-7

Now compare schedules and teams each team played....

But anyways, put FSUcks into the BIG 10 and I’m betting anything they would have had a worse records then our Huskers have during the same span. FSUcks is a very bad team right now. Has to be one of their worst in decades. ESPN was just talking about this and how bad FSUcks has been the past several years.

Edited: Not that it matters any. Both teams haven’t been good the past 3 years. And this year FSUcks appears to be even worse then they been then the last 3 years. They are currently 1-3 and going to be 1-4 after tonight? FSUcks is truly trending backwards. While our Huskers should take a turn for the better this year.

come on my man , we all know those guys are going be absolute beasts this year. ;) Justin Fields should be better this year then he ever has and he will have weapons galore. Not to mention they will have the BIG 10s best defense and probably rank in the Top 10 Nationally defensively. They will no doubt be a National Title contender again. Unless something derails them hard core....like a season ending injury to Fields....

They set the line for that. Whether it ends up like that is obviously different.
So you’re saying they are ****** at their jobs? When they set a spread at -2.5, you’re telling me 50% will find getting 2.5 appealing? Why not 0 or -3?

Agree, but this is just an unusual season. The B1G and PAC haven't started yet so ratings are still up in the air. Just going by 247 Composite roster talent. Actually, pretty telling. Those top 4 say it all

That crappy FSU is currently up 31-7 on a top 5 team.

well that top 5 team is UNC that went 7-6 last year and has beaten BC, Syracuse and struggled to beat a mediocre Va Tech team 56-45 last week. That UNC defense let Va Tech put up almost 500 total yards of offense against them. Sorry, I don’t see UNC as a Top 5 team let alone a Top 10 team. Mack Brown is definitely improving them but they are definitely not a Top 5 or Top 10 team this year.

Well said. FSU still puts people in the league. They are far superior athletically. We look like we play in sand compared to the true blue bloods.

As often as it falls in that margin I would tell you they're amazing at their jobs.

Obviously a half point can be a big deal.

If you don't think that's the case please explain why the line moves based on the amount of money/bets placed?

Yep. and there would be no one on this board that would not be fluffed up if we could pull something like this off.

In the past we have rarely played a team like that NC team. And in the last 15 years more often than not we've let them come back. Like Colorado last year. Hope that changes.

Of course a point here or half point there make a difference. But I’m just suggesting that sometimes Vegas or bookmakers want action more than they want 50/50. They entice bets, even if it’s a large majority on one team.

Look, I’m far from an expert as my betting record would indicate. I don’t know the behind the scenes decisions that are made, but I just see what I see and that’s that 50/50 doesn’t seem to be their goal.
