Havelock, wasn't the best team we played all year, that honor would go to the 2A State Champions, The Shelby Golden Lions.

South Point game 2 was a fine football team.

All we heard was 49 points a game, and all we saw was the same thing we've saw all year. Field Goal! New Bern fans popping off at the mouth. I watched them, and we'd drag them up and down the field.......... PERIOD!

If you watched the 2A Title game you saw total DOMINATION.

If you watched the 3a Title game you saw complete DESTRUCTION.

Two schools 4 miles apart, ask no quarter, and will give no quarter.

If you want some, get some, bad enough, take some..........

Congrats Shelby.............. Respect!

I remember Havelock talked about Crest being over rated because they barely beat a 2A school.But this was a 2A school that is now 7 time state champion.Great job Cleveland County.

Yes sir they do. The three area teams that won championships (Crest, Shelby, and East Lincoln) gave up a total of 23 points in their three championship games. That's complete domination on that side of the ball.

Havelock had great team speed which led to all those huge numbers...yards after the catch. They just had not seen a team with the closing speed that the Crest D had. Congrats to both the Chargers and the Golden Lions. We are blessed as football fans to live in this county.

He is quoted to say that Crest is the BEST TEAM in the state and has the BEST DEFENSE "BY FAR" that they have EVER FACED!

No better competition than county rivals... Crest vs Shelby... let's do it again right after the Shrine Bowl. All of the "DISRESPECTFUL" Havelock and Clinton fans admitted free of charge!

Heck-Fire... Let's combine Burns with Crest and Kings Mountain with Shelby... It's all CLEVELAND COUNTY!

Thanks Lawn12Dog. It has been a fabulous year. We have been very fortunate to witness such a special team. This team will be spoken of for years to come, much like the 2 94 State Champions from Cleveland County.
