Congrats to Burns Middle. Also proud of the kids from CMS. Let's not forget they lost their head coach at the start of the season. Coaching staff did an awesome job keeping everything together.

I coached Jaden at Union. We knew he would be a player down the line. His step dad played at Burns for Matt Beam. Quortez was a player no doubt!!
The last time our middle school team won the middle school championship, the bulk of that team went 3-1 against the ponies.

I am sure you have seen this from your perspective but watching these kids in middle school and high school will make you feel old when you remember seeing some of them play mighty mites their first year. Insane how time flies. We went from keeping your head up and form tackling to some looking like grown men. lol

One of the funniest ones was ole Billy Dover at Union, man they had teams year after year that pretty much dominated, the Mauney, Mookie, Thompson days.... II knew we were way overmatched.... I swear they woulda scored 70 on us that day, But I kept saying on a lot of their TD's ref you see that hold on the edge, or look at that block in the back, and boom a flag every time..
I heard Billy from across the field yell, REF, Quit letting Shelby Lion (well my real name) talk you into throwing those flags... ha ha, we laugh about it to this day.....A lot of good folks in those days and I enjoyed being around them all...
They still beat us 30-0 that day.... ha

You guys need to beg anyone from Rutherford, Burke or Lincoln county for next conference.
Bro we may join you guys. Depending on the numbers and how they do this I’m hearing split is still possible. Anything is better than this. We will not have a clue how good we are until next Friday. I feel like we can make a run but one week at a time.
Hope it happens. Only concern is them not having a three level split conference.
Kings Mountain at Crest for 2nd place pretty much. We helped South Point by winning (just threw up in my mouth some). Ashbrook is going to be the #4 team out of the Big South going on the road to a higher seed expecting a first round layup lol
