Oh man you have me going back down memory lane. I remember all those Shelby guys. Ratchford, Hopper, Davis, Gwaltney, Gidney, Holbrook. Those Shelby teams were loaded. Every single skill guy in that 87 class for Shelby went D1. I may have mixed up the years on Huss but post that first 3A state title run record by Shelby like you did the 2nd 3A title year
. Let me help you, Shelby first 3A title run show us leaving Shelby High with the big W. The year Shelby played Cummings, underdog Crest was led by James Harbinson and gave the defending state champs a big L. Also surprised that more Crest fans do not talk about James Harbinson, he is one of the best athletes to come out of Crest and Cleveland Co.

Harbison was scary good, Heres a name from Crest that was also scary in those years Baron Jones (If I remember the name right) .... He'd hit you in mouth during the play, then punch you in the mouth AGAIN for getting in the way.... LOL...
I remember big Baron. Big Baron had some absolutely blazing speed. Sergio Elmore for Shelby and Baron were must see tv in the 100 meters.

I’ll be a volleyball pappy again second week of June when daughter begins summer workouts over there …. Not gonna lie between her travel volleyball with chaos and burns volleyball I have become a fan of the game and love watching those kids play

I can’t afford quick snack ! Went Wednesday and a double burger fries and drink was 15 dollars ! It’s good but us retirees gotta watch our money lmao ( who am I kidding I’ll be back down there within a week)
