All CC teams should be playing up in non conference. Burns don’t need to be playing AC. All of us need to play the gaffneys, mallard creeks, Providence Days every season. I mean we are CC! The best football county in the state!
Isn’t AC a 3A team? This is the first year we played them. We tried to get national powerhouse Bishop Sycamore but they refused.
This is not the first year Burns has played AC. The last time the two met they beat the brake dust off Burns..
Mallard Creek looked like straight garbage. Especially on offense.
Gaffney housed them easily. Buford Georgia must be a farce as well.
MC better stay in Charlotte with that offense. Elementary school offense at best. Defense is legit but you could just run it to death with all the 3 and outs.
I believe indirectly you are saying Crest should be ranked in the top 5 in the country. All kidding aside this is another example of how good that offense at Crest is.

Anyway, good game by the Lions last night. 2A better recognize and they ought to do it quickly
Sometimes a team can draw you into their game, just like basketball. Was talking last night. If you force a 4 and out on Crest you need to score on your next possession. Look at Shelby game. They did a good job stopping Crest coming out of the half but did not put points up when they got it back. Crest gets it back, TD, and you start to get separation. I think there has to be some concern that if you now try and grind it out the rest of the way will you have time to get the lead back if Crest can get it and continue to score. The X's and O's are fun.
When you have a highly regarded transfer at the QB position nicknamed the "Assassin", you have to throw it.
I get that. I’m mainly speaking about the halftime adjustments. It was clear at the half that they shouldn’t have tried to run with Crest. They were bigger but we were way faster especially at QB and the receivers were dismantling the defensive backs.
It was also clear that they should have simply loaded up and ran on us. That chews clock and keeps the offense sitting. The games was very close all the way through.
Like 02 said above. If we get Porter back and maybe one more and the D improves slightly up front. Crest will provide ample opportunity to get your butt whooped.
Oh I definitely agree. I think it was just in their whole game plan to let him carry the team to a victory. They thought they were heavy favorites coming in and wanted to get the QB a strong showing in his first game.
As the season goes on and kids are getting more conditioned and the weather cooling down, do you think Crest could pull an O lineman or 2 to play some along the defensive line on general run downs?
We been moving players on defense around a lot I’m hoping we put everyone back in the spots they where in when we played Gaffney and go from there.
