No comment on the back and forth on this topic but I will say this again. At the end of the day I support all of our young athletes doing great things. Huskey is truly having an extraordinary year. Huskey reminds me so much of Lance Camp who played at Burns some years back. Both guys can pass and run equally well and both can put their teams on their back when needed. Lance had a bigger arm while I think Huskey is an all around better athlete. If either guy had a couple more inches in height then they both could have gone anywhere they desired to play. I am looking forward to seeing where Huskey ends up.

I don’t hate those guys for wanting to play but Highland and TJ probably shouldn’t have teams.

I disagree, those kids are not stupid, they know good and well the storm in front of them…Those kids have more heart and courage than some of our starters. I say play. I’ve been on one of those teams. Some times it’s just FUN TO PLAY. Should Shelby be one of those teams to play? No…but never ever give up.
Tator is great kid, shame his height hurts him when it comes to schools of his Choice.

At Highland, athletics is one of the things the kids do....not the only thing. In football, there is almost zero chance they would be able to field a competitive team. The majority of their kids would be 3rd or 4th stringers at their home school, or not even play.

They shouldn’t have to be in that conference because the Rutherford County schools complained to get out of it..TJ was actually in a 1A conference 5-6 years ago that they did well in most years.
It’s definitely tough on them. I can’t help but feel for the kids. When you get 68 dropped on you by the second quarter no one is learning much.
