I clocked in at 6am and man it has been wild over here off N. Post Rd. To my surprise we didn't lose power but at the house I have a few trees to cut up and no power. Hope everyone stays safe.
Mountains are in a catastrophic state. Flooding, no power, no water, communications down, etc. Praying for them.
This is the second day of power is out in almost all of Kings Mountain. Alot of trees down. Many linesmen were sent south in anticipation of Helena hitting the lower southern states. Hearing it may be Monday before most of the power is restored in KM.

Yes it is. I am out of the area this weekend so I personally escaped most of this misfortune but many are stuck dealing with this and even worse circumstances. I have family and friends in Asheville that I haven’t been able to contact since yesterday morning. Asheville from a communication and travel standpoint seem to be cut off from the rest of the world. The surrounding mountain towns are flooded out and being told to evacuate in some circumstances. Definitely much worse than expected.
Went yesterday to Polk County to help incase the dam broke. I feel for the people all in western NC. I am hoping the system that's developing right now don't take the same path. It's looking to be about 7-10 days from affecting US.
Power guys said it could be 2 weeks before bostic (sunshine ) for power and longer for internet/phone service .. it’s bad
I’m on day 3 without power. I want to complain but other folks have it so much worse so I think I’ll pray for them instead of complaining and be thankful to the good Lord for the Mercy I am afforded.

My power came on at 1:00 yesterday. I am thankful no bad damage at my place here in Belwood. My neighbor had a close call with a massive oak tree that just missed her house. Thank God for his mercies!
Hey bud, I'm from Belwood. Live over in Lincoln County now but still no power at my brother's house there near the crossroads. No damage there either... Just no power.
