That was that big lines senior year(98 championship game) with Kareem(Georgia) and Rico(UNC) manning the tackles and Andy Leigh and Juke Curry(probably strongest) on that line. Kareem put on clinics on what a pulling tackle should do at 6'7" and 375 getting down field 20 yards pancaking on plays. Would love for him to be back up here working with the linemen here and coming up.

I was younger than that group but man what a squad. The draw play at AL Brown with Bubba up the middle was what sealed the deal. That was a great game.

The BS you mentioned is not BS at all and YES it was recent. Yes it did happen. I am not in that weight room or locker room to know how things really are so I will take your word for it. The conversation about difference of opinions on things absolutely happened. You don't know me on a personal level to know how I really feel about KM. You would laugh if you did. You still don't get how it works on here. You may somewhat but at times you take a step back. One thing I will not do is makeup a lie on here involving other coaches. If you knew my history, respect and thoughts about coaching you would full back off the liar comments. 1. I think he is at KM because he see the type of athletes in the entire area and with the continued growth, community support and resources, success can be had.
2. Makes more money at KM than he made at last school in SC... he maybe the highest paid non AD, coach in NC.

He is old school and probably not use to all the added influences.

Another reason for him getting out of SC was that SC high school league and coaches down there were totally against the school he was at and the unfair treatment was directed at all sports. I dont see him going to a small SC school because it wouldn't be an increase in pay and he wouldnt have the backing against the SC high school association.

I think with his pay, light work load, support and the student athletes he has access to, he is in a pretty good spot. He maybe entertaining other schools but dont see them matching all those boxes.

Legion Collegiate Academy..Rock Hill and it was a sports charter school...opened in 2019. Actually had kids moving from GA and driving from Columbia to come play sports at the school. Small sports they could dominate but not having a feeder middle school hurt football, along with the fact local schools wouldnt not play him.

If you are a nearby coach with a proven track record why not apply? You can use it as leverage to up or own pay or get a few things if you do not leave. Coach Lloyd was notorious for applying for every decent opening that came through in his coaching career. Coach Glass from Hickory is similar. Coach Barnes also has applied for jobs while at good programs. I can remember Coach Taylor from Shelby applying for the KM job one year because he wanted to see how much it was paying. It’s what the coaching business is. When you have a proven track record you want to see what you are worth on the market. You can’t take that too personal.

Just got our football calendar sent out and it says Cramer scrimmages KM during the jamboree this year. I know a few posters who will be excited Cramer is finally lining up against a “real” CC team instead of the pretenders in their conference.

They hired Nick Pellem from White Knoll in SC. Not sure about that. I got the info on the guys who interviewed from a Clover guy. I know the first year they don’t have senior class at the school. Will definitely have to take their lumps for a few years.

Yes they did hire the White Knoll coach about a week or so before Christmas. I haven’t really heard too much more after the hire.

Liar was the one that got me. I heard it from the man himself. I could have easily put out much more but I will not go that far on here. Talking junk about me or Burns will never get me mad. I’ve been here from the very beginning of these boards also. Got frustrated and left for awhile during the Farqueson years in KM. Back when we had regular posters from Fayetteville, Thomasville, Davie County, Kannapolis, and ask Mr. Ref amongst others. Can’t forget the million Golden Lion and Shelby Lion names that were here and the original Crest guys before the board got flooded with Crest posters after one of their state championships. I was the only KM poster here for years. Got locked out for a couple of years from posting because my old rivals ncpreps account was connected to my UNC basketball rivals account and I had to start over with a new account which became the original Shutdown account in 2014 before this “upgrade.” Not as fiery as I use to be but all of us old school Southwestern 3A football alums still like to bring to our old rivals from time to time. I was involved with sports in CC and GC for years. I enjoy watching my friends and relatives kids and grandkids go through the tradition of high school football.
