The year prior is when we really lost a couple of kids that would have had last year’s team and this season’s team as state title contenders.
The energy is very positive around KM sports right now, from the high school all the way down to the youth leagues. You can feel it. A great way to go into the Spring.

Bradley Floyd on this team would have been nice to see.. Last I seen, he was a top 5 player in the state this year as a senior at the private school he is at.

Also, I believe 3 of the sophomore players , still play for KM native Jerry Jordans Charlotte Royals aau team and he is an assistant for the Charlotte Catholic team they face tomorrow.

Do not forget about Josiah Guyton who plays at Lincolnton. Josiah averaged 23pts a game this season.

It just hit me that the Big South Conference has the possibility of having a state champion in football and two more state champions in basketball. Next season Crest and Kings Mountain will both make strong pushes for titles in football while Huss/KM return pretty much everyone in basketball from this year’s title contenders. South Point will be very strong in BASKETBALL next season also. The conference is strong in baseball and softball also. What does that say about the Big South Conference athletically. I would say that overall when you add all the sports into the equation that this is one of the best top to bottom conferences in the state athletically.

6’6 Brad Floyd 6’8 C. Foster to go along with that 6’7 sophomore KM wouldn’t have been a Cinderella … but that Coaching Staff has done an incredible job..

Elon, Campbell, and East Carolina who I am aware of.

KM has a group of sophomores and freshmen who are drawing a ton of attention from D1 schools. Power 5A are already on freshman Kavion Byers. This time next year his offer list is going to go crazy

I know you guys have crazy amounts of young talent. Is there going to be a QB competition this year or are you guys going with the starter from last year?

With Herron it is always best player wins the job. The young kid is already 6’2 180 and uber talented. Big time talent. I was kind of shocked at some of the things he can do already. He also lives, breathes, and eats football. KJ’s is a multi sport athlete whose favorite sport is baseball. It should be good competition

Watching this KM Nash game

KM great first half, but between #1 and #5 driving completely off balance and HORRIFIC shot taking here in the third they are close to getting blown out of the gym just reckless ball handling in the third.... Not to mention Nash defense is swarming in the third

Lets go Mounties

EDIT: Got it together by the end of third 4 point Nash lead.... Hope the Mounties can pull it off
