Saw that 6 of the Marshall's at Crest graduation last night are football players. Love that hard work on the field and in the classroom.

The team they played in the Championship literally had no defense. NONE!! That’s why when they yell 20 we laugh if Crest played in 3A they don’t win

I am also sure you are just picking on “little brother”, but seriously who is Shelby supposed to beat in playoffs. Their enrollment puts them in 3A (not their fault). I agree that Crest would have won 3A, but that is the same as saying Weddington would have won 5A.

to anyone at this juncture. I do love reading this thread and respect all the teams on here. I know Cramer has taken a little grief from some people in our area because our #’s shook out at 4A and we were like 20 students short of 5A. Maybe I am naive on this subject but I thought the NCHSSA took the enrollment of each school and broke it down top 32 teams (8A), the next 64 (7A-2A) and the bottom 32 (1A). So you’re saying that the schools had a choice? This is the first I am hearing about this.
Every Catholic Private School getting to play public school should be forced to move up at least one classification but that is an argument for another day.
