Shelby will not lose another game , that defense is as good as advertised. 45 IMO is one of the best players around , plays hard every play.

It was an instant classic, as SL stated, in our storied series. One of the best, from a fan’s perspective.
Enjoy your 5 straight. But it is not unique in this series.
But football purests saw that Shelby outplayed Crest everywhere but on the scoreboard. And in limiting mistakes.
It’s all part of the game, so no excuses here. In many ways we beat ourselves. We have to clean that up, and we will.
That is one of the reasons why we play you and KM. Great higher classification competition exposes your strengths and weaknesses.
But we have bigger fish to fry, and we never confuse a loss to a county rival to our focus on the primary pursuit of another State Championship.
Of course we want to defeat you, play as hard as we did tonight. But win or lose, we will not put that score inside a Championship ring.
Again, congratulations. Go win States again.
So now about honor.
We want your take on the incident where your QB, visible to all, gave the finger to the Shelby fans on his run to the Shelby sideline.
The play was to leave you with a third and long, but his act drew an unsportsmanlike penalty for 15 more yards.
And this was at a critical point in the third quarter. The third down failed and forced a punt.
We noted as he went the sidelines, head coach confronted him and the discussion moved to the tent.
But the QB was back playing on the next series.
Our opinion?
There is not a head coach in all of Shelby’s football history that would have permitted a Shelby QB that did such a no class act to return to the field.
I am confident other Shelby texters here will confirm that.
So tell us rulz. And think about this before you fire off some stupid remark that ducks the serious question or references “ stern warnings”. This is different. Public. In front of the whole stadium. Representing the school, the program, the culture.
What was the honorable thing to do?

I don’t see Crest losing another game this year except for Weddington. Congrats to Melton for making that play. He is the real deal. The talent on that field was incredible last night.

First let me say that Burns is a really good team. Very solid across the board. The Bulldogs just ran into a buzz saw last night. We played well in all three phases of the game this week. Gotta get our kicker back though. Improvement from week 1 to week 2 was dramatic. The ceiling of this KM team is high and we have good players at each level. We will be a load to deal with for everyone moving forward.
Good luck to the Dawgs the rest of the way. I still believe you guys have a great shot to come out of the west.

I thought Scott played well at QB for Shelby last night except for that one dumb pick 6. He made some really good throws into tight windows. I want to praise Raper also, he came in hurt himself and showed a lot of fight and heart. Shelby players don't get down just get mad and take it out on every team for the rest of the year. Oh and CREST SUCKS!!!!!
The dumb pick 6 you mentioned came from getting hit as he threw the ball too from what I saw. He’s a tough kid for sure.

Was it just me or was that one heck of a Dwight Clark impersonation???? Yes im showing my age...as for the Dogs dad gum i felt this was the year we get the first win since 2016 but good job KM ....total domination. I have faith Coach Devine will get this thing figured out. I was listening to crest and watching Burns. This takes special skill to keep up especially after a few adult beverages.

I watched the Burns and KM game, and a little of the Eastern Randolph and Randleman while listening to our game... I couldnt tell who was who on the Eastern game so I cut it off ha ha

#4 goes out of control a lot. He got another flag last night pushing a kid out of bounds after the play when he was in as a blocking back. Killed that drive. Hurt our team being excessively aggressive.
He will be reprimanded.
We, in know way, condone his bully play after the whistle. Not last year. Not any year. It is wrong, unnecessary, and hurts his team.

Over aggressive play on the field, opposing players mouthing off to each other. That happens at every game. And usually gets a flag. It happened on both sides last night.
But a player individually addressing the opponents fan base in the stadium on their sideline with a low class obscene gesture sets a new low…even for Crest.
And you condone it with some lame comparison.
He should have been benched.
But do you think the Crest coaches would bench their starting QB in the middle of the Shelby game?
