Great having one of the best Bulldogs to wear the uniform come out and talk to the guys after the team supper. Darius Ramsey was a leader on and off the field. He set the standard and delivered one hell of a message tonight.

We play up 3 classifications this year and defeat a quality KM team.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the conversation but I'm curious are Crest and Weddington playing again next year or was it just a 2 year deal?

Probably a two year deal. I’m glad they honored it and showed some nuts. Cause they dodged Gaffney the following year after losing Tater and Company. Then blamed it on Lloyd being new and it wasn’t his agreement
In life there are lies, d@mn lies and statistics. And just saying, we played up or yall played down and comparing them based on nothing but the numbers is silly. Weddington is 7a, and so is McDowell.....anyone on these boards knows better than to compare those two teams. Shelby is 3a and so is Draughn.....we all know how competitive that game would be. Crest chose to play up against arguably one of the top programs in the state and we got beat (and should have).....and the points were not garbage time, and you dang well know it. Each year Shelby plays up against county schools, and wins some, and loses come but they are always competitive. Why because Shelby has a good program. But the whole classification only argument is ridiculous.

Crest didn't "play up" by scheduling Weddington. They picked a good opponent and made a series of it. Playing up is something Shelby started talking about as the losses to Crest pile up.

To answer your question, we plan on ending that this year. By the way, Crest only has a 3 year win streak on us.
