They grew in a lot of ways. Got to cut down on the penalties but sometimes those wins just have to be nasty.

Cleveland County flexing their muscles this weekend. Crest lost but they way they competed as a 5A against 7A Weddington says a lot about county competitiveness. The county always has great athletes in the skill positions but every county school has some dawgs in the trenches that teams have to account for.
Cleveland County got to shake this injury bug and get healthy and ready for the conference run..

Glad he is rounding into the player he is , Burns will be a factor in 4A.
We are really deep at RB this year. Obviously Max is the star, but Kolton Pryor (JR) & Ka'Marion McKinzie (SOPH) are really good backs too. McKinzie had 2 TDs last night. But man when Max gets going, he's really unstoppable, felt like he took every touch he had in the 2nd half for a TD last night.
Yeah I thought it was pretty cool that Coach Ware was the coach leading this. Also this is the 4th KM underclassman to be offered by ECU.
Need Lance to get on to GWU as next HC.
He knows what this county produces as much as anyone. As Smash said, Lance at GWU would be epic. We always talk about one county team and how dangerous it would be, GWU is the closest possibility we have to seeing what it could look like. Obviously the whole roster wouldn’t contain CC but the talent here could produce something special.
I know it’s BC and we can’t control the conference but man am I glad the Dogs FINALLY get to play at home this week. 4 road games to start the season is brutal! I’ll admit, that road crowd Friday had that ruthless road playoff vibe.
That whole atmosphere at Lincolnton this past Friday felt like a playoff game honestly. Glad we got to experience it, it'll only help us come November

Cleveland County football. It's different. It's special.
We all called it last year. We knew this year would be special and to see that is just crazy. Out of 8 classes you have half of it being represented in this county alone??? Man, show me that anywhere else. SP is #1 now but Crest and SP will settle that very soon.
Kinda like pulling up to Linberger in a couple weeks in that underdog roll..
It’s possible that Crest maybe #1 before you guys play. I watched the Ashbrook/Marvin Ridge game and the Green Wave have really progressed. Their skill talent and speed is elite. That talent combined with AJ at quarterback is going to lead to a more competitive game than I definitely thought coming into the season. I initially had SP as a 10-14pt favorite but now I believe Ashbrook’s offense is a bad matchup for SP. I don’t think Ashbrook’s defense can stop SP however. I have moved this game to a tossup but lean SP because they have home field.
With three straight losses, I think South Point is going to bring something intense for Ashbrook. Would expect them to be undefeated when Crest goes to Belmont.
