This L is bitter no matter what happens the rest of the way. You mean I have to listen to Deboredom for the next 365 🤮. I rather had lost to North Gaston.
Not even gonna comment on the officiating except to say that we gotta stop using those crews out of Gaston County.
I know terrible...seems like the refs could have helped out KM on stopping the run...and help the KM OC on running the ball.

Shelby High School tonight recognized some of the school’s past football North Carolina State Champions with years that end in a 6.
It was in conjunction with the Class Reunion of Class of 1986.
Players and coaches represented tonight from;
1976 State Champions
1986 State Champions
2006 State Champions
2016 State Champions

Let that sink in for a minute…..

That had us review another remarkable achievement that isn’t as recognized as our LAST SEVEN CONSECUTIVE DECADES WITH AT LEAST ONE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
The Golden Lions have won a State Championship in each of a year that ends from 0 to 9.
1970

2013
2014, 1984

1983, 1963
2004, 1974, 1944, 1924
2007, 1997
1988

In summary, the Golden Lions have been present in 26 of all the State Championship Games for the last 58 years…..45 %.
Won 19 of the 58 Title Games…33 %.

No other program is remotely close.

49–20 looks impressive, but Friday night blowouts....they just don’t win championships. I mean.....everybody looks dangerous when things are going their way. Let’s see how Burns looks when the competition gets tougher and there’s no room for mistakes. That’s when we’ll find out who’s really built for a playoff run. Or are we getting ahead of ourselves?

So beating Lincolnton 56-35 in Lincolnton and Cramer 24-23 wasn't tough competition? Just curious.

Not to mention Cherryville was "supposed to be a tougher opponent".... At least from all the chirping they did all week and we all see how that turned out.... Honestly that game should have been more like 56-14 if you take away all the dumbass penalties the refs magically saw..... It was definitely not as close as 49-20.... Sorry if that hurts your feelings .. just the truth.

Im week 1 we were tied with Crest at 14 midway though the 4th quarter and had the ball but had some bad turnovers to change that game....

So yeah miss me with the well see how Burns is against tougher competition, we already know.....

SP won this games because they dominated the line of scrimmage... And they played very good defense tonight as well....

That was a big win for SP, congrats gents
You are correct but we didn’t help ourselves out by not running it more at them. That’s how you help your linemen out. Rb1 was averaging over seven yards a carry.

KM better get those tackles in order

they look soft as butter tonight
At the end of the day SP had a good game plan, they were ready for us, and hit us in the mouth. There is still a lot of football to he played this season so we will put this game behind us and get back in the lab. SP gave us a couple of things to work on as we prepare for the stretch run.

One of the KM commentators kept yelling touchdown before the ball got to the WR hands..🤣 I was like dude just stop..
Everyone is so accustomed to Jordan making perfect throws so he was thinking td as soon as the receivers were separating. I watched the game again last night and that was a little funny because he did it all night lol

I’ll agree with you on one thing buddy...... Burns has already faced some competition, and the results speak for themselves. Beating Lincolnton 56-35 and Cramer 24-23 isn’t nothing. But let’s not confuse winning with proving every point. Burns lost to Crest 28-14 and Kings Mountain 32-7, so the tougher competition conversation didn’t come out of thin air. And beating Cherryville 49-20 doesn’t erase those losses. Give Burns credit for winning six straight, absolutely. But if you’re going to use the scoreboard to defend your team, you’ve got to accept the scoreboard when it doesn’t favor your argument, too. That's not disrespect. That's football.

Just out of curiosity who do you pull for Pizzaman? Also I have a crisp $5 bill if you can drop a pie off when you finish your shift.

The thing is we're not gonna be seeing teams like Crest & KM the rest of the year. So yeah the Lincolnton's and Cramers are the ones that matter

Listen, I hear you...... But saying Crest and Kings Mountain don’t matter anymore doesn’t make those losses disappear. And if Lincolnton and Cramer are the wins you want to hang your hat on, let’s look at the facts..... Burns beat Lincolnton by 21, but Cramer came within ONE point of beating Burns. That’s credit to Burns for finding a way to win, but it’s hardly proof that every question about this team is nonsense. Meanwhile, Shelby beat Cramer 21-14 and Lincolnton 9-7, and Burns still has Shelby on the schedule. So let’s see how that matchup plays out before declaring the argument over. You can defend Burns without pretending the conversation is already settled. The scoreboard is evidence, not a gag order.

They dont like the fact that Pizza Man showed up with facts, and now apparently I’ve got a whole football mafia worried about my delivery route! Somebody tell the Burns boys I’m not here to steal their playbook… I’m just serving up slices of reality and if those roller skates and short shorts somehow make a comeback, I want a front row seat. I’ll even deliver the pizza. Just don’t ask me to deliver excuses! 😂😂

I'll let you two lovebirds talk amoungts yourselves... We'll do our talking in November 🙃
Hold on now my friend, are you publicly quitting on us and your own team before November even gets here? You’ve been talking all this football, and now you’re handing the conversation over to the lovebirds? I thought we were supposed to believe in our team until the final whistle, not tap out when the debate gets uncomfortable! 😂
