Does it look like he doesn’t jump high? How does he get stuffed by the rim so often. It look cool with the speed of the arm swing for dunk and I know how leads nation in dunks but I’ve never seen someone specifically get stuffed by rim as opposed to just missing dunk. Thoughts?

I think today he was too far under the basket. If he had gone up vertically like he usually does, he'd have hit the bottom of the rim - so he had to reach out around the rim, and misjudged.

He is trying to dunk every time he gets it that low even when he is off balance or under the rim
So he can get the quick basket.
I have said often that sometimes he needs to
Look to lay it in instead knowing where he is in context if the rim

Lmao he needs to work on his dunking. Agree with Scangg though that there are times to slam and times to lay it in. He’s grown So much this year. He’s a great player already with room to grow.

He looked like he was about two feet above the rim on one lob today. When he hits the rim its because he's bad position or...he gets pushed from the back.

Occasionally, Cliff is too quick for his own good. It's a good problem to have. He'll learn when to slow it down a tick. He's a freak. Hammer that f..er any chance you get.

I knew I would get roasted for asking.
You shouldn’t. Cliff still learning. I am ok with him attempting dunks where he is comfortable dunking. But seriously if he is right position is there anyone in the country who could stop him ? What he did to Eddy was awesome

“Laying it in” isn’t at easy as it sounds. If you watch a lot of college basketball big men constantly miss “lay ins “. Stick with dunking it Cliff. It’s incredibly effective and efficient. The once every other game he misses is ok.

Funny I’ve thought the sane thing. Some of his misses make no sense to me. Doesn’t elevate great when directly under the rim it seems.

Cliff gets caught to Deep under the basket at times which causes him to miss some shots.

I like how we adjusted to all their help D on Cliff... they were throwing bodies at him on his way to the rim... Paul going in slowly just tipped our intention to maybe go to Cliff.. they had time to compact and help on him.. cut him off.

What we should have done as pop it out for an open 3.

HOWEVER.. we then adjusted on that highlight above... Cliff started from farther away and the ball moved fast into the lane so no one had time to find him and cut him off.

As a longtime knicks fan, I say go for the dunk every time and never go for the lay-in/finger-roll 😫
