Liberal friend told me he would NOT recommend. Was there something in the movie that might have triggered him?

It’s a good movie...Clint is definitely looking old, but he still brings it

Well, he says “colored” and “beaner” , so I guess your friend was triggered by that. And just by Clint in general.

It was worth the price of admission. I would not be surprised if that’s the last time you see him act.
He plays a flawed hero...just as he did in Gand Torino, Unforgiven, etc...he’s all about giving characters a chance at redemption after screwing up most of their lives

Yep, people like that miss out on a lot in life. I never let politics/religion play a role in my friendships, travel or entertainment choices. That said, I really hope to see this movie before it goes off. We've just been really busy since it came out and haven't had the time. I really like movies/shows about the drug trade, especially if it has a shred of truth to it.
I highly recommend Cocaine Cowboys Reloaded if you like this subject. It's a documentary about how the drug trade in Miami got started, with interviews from the actual people involved. The interview with Colombian hit man Jorge Ayala was fascinating.

Yes, I do like those type movies. The Netflix series about the drug kingpin in central America was excellent.
Clint should stick with directing/producing. Anymore, his acting looks like Pitino coaching on the sidelines or Skeletor fighting He-Man.
