Hillary Clinton gave a speech hitting on income inequality while wearing a $12,000 designer jacket, the New York Post has pointed out.

Clinton, whose campaign has sought to portray her as more relatable to everyday Americans, sported a $12,495 Giorgio Armani tweed jacket during a April 19 speech on the heels of her New York Democratic primary win over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Clinton has upgraded her pantsuit wardrobe at a cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to seem more relatable to working-class people. Ironically, though, her most recent fashion choices are anything but relatable to those struggling to make ends meet.

“She’s had to have spent in the six figures on this wardrobe overhaul,” Los Angeles-based political image consultant Patsy Cisneros told the Post recently.

Others on social media also pointed out the apparent disconnect between Clinton’s words and deeds.

Nothing wrong with spending your money. Keeps people working. That's the problem with this country, we denigrate the rich and act like they have stolen everything they have obtained.
