I'm a thinkin right now that Clinton has the edge on the dogs.

Unfortunately I agree. I think Clinton’s huge lines are gonna be the factor in this game. I think it stays close for most of the game with Clinton pulling away in the 2nd half. They will just keep pounding and leaning on our smaller guys and it was definitely be a factor late in the game. If we can break a long run or two it could keep it interesting but in the end I think Clinton prevails, 34-20.

Gonna be a good one hopefully both teams can be at full strength. This one is to close to call so I won’t.
This will be another great game in a line of great games between these two teams, and like g-dogg, too close to call. Clinton took care of Goldsboro rather easily, and Wallace turned it on in the second half against Midway. I know one thing, if we don't contain Kanye and Dalrymple we're gonna be in for a long game.

To close to call....both teams are good both teams are hungry and obviously both teams want to win....since 2012 this has been bout even rivalry as we have seen across the state every other year the other wins if that same pattern follows suit its Wallace's year....Bulldogs felt they let one slip away in 2018 we felt we let one slip away in 2017...either way its going to be a great game. Standing room only in the Dogpound Friday night better get there early GO Horses!!!!!!!

Clinton! I repeat, Clinton will not wear WRH down. Clinton is big and strong, the bulldogs are stronger, faster and is playing with heart and soul. If WRH has their starters on defense back from injuries, dogs going to win by 2-3 yds. If not, I'll take my Dogs in the showdown in the dog pound 34-28

Now,if Kaba plays, that's a game changer. Darkhorses I really playing well and WRH has got to play well but Kaba really shut down WRH's run game last year. I hope I'm right about ankle sprain instead of knee and he plays Friday night

Game of the week in 2A, period. I will be following this game for sure. Clinton or WRH will rep the East in the state championship, in my opinion.

I must admit, some of the numbers Clinton has put up offensively has been impressive. I am concerned how the Dogs will hold up defensively.

I think WRH can score some points, and they might need all of them Friday night. Clinton looks to be playing great right now so it will take a great effort to come away with a win.

I think the injury report could have some bearing- for both teams. Should be another classic. Both programs have a good shot at representing the east .

All signs point to Kaba being done but no one knows for sure but him and those closest to him. Would love to see him run out there on Friday.

A must win for WRH. Lost two big games to SWO last year. Lost to Havelock in big game this year. There best win in two years may have been Northside this year. WRH needs this one bad.

28-14 WRH

  1. Must win? They happen in playoffs. Important for bragging rights, but not must. In at least 2 of our championships, clinton won this game. Hate losing to the horses, but it has refueled us in the past.2 great teams again this yr. Toss up

Are you forgetting we have already beat SWO this year and @SWO? I guess you don’t consider that a big game this year because we won but you claim it was last year because we lost. This game against the Horses is NOT a must win. It will definitely help for the conference title but all the must win games are in the playoffs. Regular season wins are just the road to travel to get to the destination.

Just make sure you win, Northeastern wants to play at the Pound. Win or lose our kids want to play at the Pound. We understand WRH would be a heavy favorite in Teachey, we just want to have an opportunity to play you there.

Best of luck to both teams. I will be pulling for the Dogs in this one because many of their posters up here came out in support of our Eagles last December. I believe both Clinton and WRH are the two best teams in the 2a east at the moment. My Eagles are floating somewhere between 5-8 in the east at the moment. Gonna be a close one, I predict the Dogs by 10 if Kaba doesn't suit up. If he does, I like Clinton by 3

What’s a matter, don’t want to play at Clinton? Y’all owe us a home game as much as we’ve been to NE last few years. Dog pound is a special intimate venue for a game though.

It's not that we don't want to play at Clinton, but our coach tried to schedule WRH this yr in Teachey and was turned down. I have become good friends with a John and Black Bulldog and Old Dog. I would just like to go hang out with them. Also John can treat me to a pregame meal, lol.

Actually the dog pound isn't in Teachy, that's were the school is located. The dog pound is located in downtown Wallace, NC

Oh my bad, well one things for sure, if were going to win the east then we'll have to do it on the road. No home field advantage for NE this yr.

Did not include this years victory over SWO, just because WRH is way better than my Stallions this year, and I for one expected them to beat us down. Was referring more to those 50/50 games. No knock on WRH, I honestly think they need a big victory and beating Clinton would be a nice one. I'll never knock WRH, I cheer for them often.

Why not? SWO seems to like it there, lol!!

One field is as good as another. 10 yards is 10 yards. Now some are in a little better shape than others, seating, parking, snack bar, enough head facilities (bathrooms for you sand crabs). SWO travels well so plenty of fans for us no matter where. A lot of other schools do also. The teams that win do at home or on the road. I always liked to see other fields and take a nice drive there also. But there is NO Place LIke Home.

I prefer playing on the road. Love experiencing different game days, unless it's First Flight, that place sucks. No gameday atmosphere, always windy and cold, and little to no concessions. Add to that a long drive for most teams, luckily were only an hr away.

Back in the day,Darkhorse stadium was one of the worst places to go. They had a group of hecklers that would sit on visitors side and literally ruin the experience. They would even show up at their away games. Time changes things tho. Most all away venues are welcoming. I think only Clinton can say they love it in the dog pound. They always play well here. 2 years ago it took at big effort from O line and Javonte late in that game for us to win. There has been some classics in the dog pound. 94 show down in the dog pound,Clinton spanked our tails and the dogs repayed them 10 -0 at Clinton in the playoff on our way to first ship. Can't wait till Friday. Going to be another classic.
