About 3:06 left in the game, we have the ball at our own 30. Score is tied and we have 3 timeouts plus the 2 minute timeout. What do we do? We drop the plow, go into slow motion mode, no urgency, not even a little up tempo. You could see that KF is totally fine with OT. When you play to not lose that is usually exactly what you do. Screaming at the GD tv to get moving!!!

Put someone on the staff and that’s all they do for gods sake. KF obviously can’t do it

The clock management was fine. The play calling and execution weren’t. This is a strange argument to make when Minnesota had enough time to ultimately win in regulation.

I agree in a way and since our offense wasnt working very much maybe uptempo would have given them a jolt. But OT was not the plan, the plan was another score and a walk off FG for kirk is fine whereas putting the ball over the goal line in an indisputable way is 100% while a FG try is not

We went uptempo against Michigan, one of the best defenses in the country, and moved 91 yards in under 2 minutes. If you aren't getting good results with what you're doing, why not try something different!

What I always find ironic is maybe the best finish in Iowa history Tate to Holloway was due to absolutely horrible clock management.

God bless Kirk but I don't trust him to do the right thing at the end of tight games. 2009 at OSU being the poster child for that.
