I don't find it fascinating at all. Assuming that he actually does hate it, well, of course, he's going to gloat if it folds. It doesn't mean that he spends all day watching it.
I haven't watch CNN in 25 years. Not even in the airports as I travel. And I am elated CNN+ was a total bust. I will gloat with the OP. And I don't watch Fox either so if their streaming service goes belly up I will not waste a second of my life being concerned.

Politics is a little of it , but it just isn’t a good service . The top talent is also on CNN cable , and Jamelle and Rex aren’t worth 5.99 and millions of people . The library of shows ...forensic files , Bourdain ....isn’t special enough . Post-lockdowns , people are consolidating streamers ..not adding . Going from paying for 5 to 2 or 3.

Partisanship aside, Ray Charles should have saw this coming. CNN has struggled since Orange Man Bad left office and their ratings are tanking.

Didn't sound like a great time to launch an alternate pay channel.

Why is China the only one deserving of being singled out for using bots? Most social media content is generated by bots and if you name a random industrialized country, chances are they are running an extensive social media bot program, either by the government or a private group trying to advance their political interests. Or in the case of wrestling, to hate on AEW lol
NBA loves China!! Don’t bad talk China!!

I read news from Fox, CNN, Reuters, and BBC, mainly. I don’t watch CNN. Sometimes watch BBC and Fox, but not often. Usually only when there is a big story breaking that the networks are following.

Hoping all this plus crap dies out.

Between all these subscriptions on top of an outrage DTV bill, it's getting a bit crazy here.

Then they wonder why people go the not so legal route of IPTV lol

For decades now they have been trying to figure out how to get people to pay for news when people don't want to pay for it. Personally, I will never pay for any subscription regarding news because that's going to be made free somewhere online in no time (even on here, I don't understand why anyone would want to pay for HOB).

Every time I encounter a pay wall, I wonder who is actually paying for this and if you're the author, aren't you bothered that your work is seen by less because of a paywall that's preventing more hits and readership?

I hear you... but as a paying HOB member... visiting Rafters ONE time convinced me to pay for the much higher average IQ lol.

Post-lockdown, people are reducing from 4-5 to 1-2 subscriptions. The model now is to have a lot of stuff under one umbrella ( HBO Max, Hulu , etc ) , that also includes a little news ..not a standalone news service for $6.

Rafters is the Walmart of message boards. It has always sucked so I definitely understand what you're saying. That probably is a good selling point to have HOB as I imagine you don't have 50 of the same thread every day about Sharpe or Cal or an observation about one possession in a game.

What does DTV provide that YouTube TV (or one of the other much cheaper streaming cable subscriptions) doesn't?

And the models that are experiencing success (outside of news streaming, I don't pay attention to that), are the ones that place quality ahead of quantity - HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, etc.

Honestly........probably nothing. I actually don't know why I keep DTV. I have IPTV service I pay 5 bucks for and get channels from all over the world including NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB extra innings etc etc etc.
