I think he will leave because he said 3 years ago, that he would give them 3 more years and he was walking away. He doesn't seem to me to be the kind of coach who cares about records or personal accolades. I do think when he does step down, that his successor will be a current assistant and they'll keep running the same stuff that they currently run
I think he will leave as well . The guy from Rockbridge may get the job ? About time we see something different . This winning all the time is getting old . lol
Rockbridge,s coach was eastern montgomery coach from 2010 when rhs won the shoot out, only thing he likes to do is pass pass pass and pass he ain't coming to rhs
If they hire someone else from outside the program, I'd be awfully surprised
We saw what happened last time they did that. New coach was made to feel unwelcome after proposing some scheme changes & remaining staff bailed. Hard to argue with Casto’s system and accomplishments as a coach. Seems silly to think someone from outside the system will be successful in the same way.
Last I heard it would be his son in law when he decided to retire
If he leaves I think it would be best if I took over ! I have seen enough of what he does from the sideline . Can't be that hard to win say 50 games in a row or 6 Championships in a row . Not sure why the rest of Augusta County Schools have not done the same . Oh that's right they play Riverheads . Merry Christmas !
Why don't you talk to Todd Jones and see if he would at least try to run the Wing T or Single Wing . Essex has better athletes than anyone . What he is doing is just not getting it done .
We’ve ran those. We mix them in from time to time. We just don’t run it to darn near perfection as Riverheads do.
I think it just takes practice . If the team will buy in and be dedicated to how it works you guys would be hard to deal with. jmo
Not sure ? Over heard him say he was putting in for it if the job came open . He was sitting behind me at the state game . Had on a Rockbridge sweatshirt .
No disrespect intended but no way in the world they would hire a Rockbridge coach, they arent exactly a model for a good football program. He would be run out of town before game 5. LOL
I hope they don't have to look for anyone but if so look at someone who has been or is currently in the program . Anyone outside won't understand just what the Riverheads football program is . It is unlike any other I know of !
