I don’t have a link because I saw this posted on Facebook but with us getting the overall 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament Coach K now leads all Coaches with 8 overall 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Wooden is second with 7 and Rupp is third with 6. If we reach the Final Four this year Coach K will set a new record for most Final Four appearances by a Coach. He’s currently tied with Wooden with 12. With a Final Four appearance this season Coach K will have 13 Final Four appearances in his 39 seasons at Duke. That will be an average of 1 Final Four appearance every 3 years since Coach K has been at Duke. If we win our 6th NCAA Championship Coach K will have an average of 1 NCAA Championship every 6 1/2 years. Coach K just won his 15th ACC Tournament Championship since he’s been at Duke for an average of 1 ACC Tournament Championship every 2.6 years.

I agree. But your post in another thread the other day was much, much better.

At this stage of his legendary career, K will be breaking records left and right these next few years, and putting some records almost out of reach.

I can’t wait to see what he will push his career wins total to. Hypothetically just for fun, let’s say he coaches until he’s 80. He would turn 80 near the end of the 2026-27 season, so that would be 8 more seasons and let’s say he averages 30 wins per season over those 8 seasons then he could potentially end up with somewhere around 1370 or so career wins. This is all hypothetical just for fun of course.
