I do think you are right about that. I do remember Gerald being called G but he was also referred to as G-man because way back then I commented on who was the real G-man.

OFCMaybe the G Men in the FBI complained that Gminski stole their nickname.
LOL. Yup could be. Interesting note here. I am from Burlington, N.C. and former Duke football all -american and NFL player is a friend. Billy was the 1st person that I ever heard call Gminski G-man who by the way after he retired from the Broncos became a G-man himself working and now retired from the FBI.
