Note dame does the same thing and they should. If you have a prestigious tradition of academia why in the world would you not use it? The powerful networks that schools like Stanford, ND, Duke, Ivy leagues etc produce is incredibly valuable. Anyone that doesn't want to admit that is blind, sour grapes or lying.
