I forgot about Danny! HE could play and should be in the conversation.

Back to the JJ thing from earlier in the thread, I do not think he is deserving of being at the top. He accomplished a lot, and I am a big fan of his, but he is not on the level as many of the others mentioned.

I agree and that's what I was bringing up. We spent so much time talking about JD's place and I felt he shouldn't be the one in the discussion. IMO JJ should and if championships are a factor, he's absolutely subject to recall.

Not a top ten Coach K player but if any player can be called under rated and beginning to be totally forgotten is Mark Alarie. Just so effortless and hardly knew he was scoring but look up and hes got 20. Don't mean to be bringing these guys up that I feel don't get the credit they deserve during Coach K's time but they were stars. OFC

Add Shelden Williams to that list as well. If Battier wasn't at Duke, we'd easily refer to Shelden as our best interior defender maybe even all-around defender.

Does anyone remember Billy King? He could and would guard anyone . OFC

I do and David Henderson. They were much better perimeter defenders than Shel, maybe our two best (add Amaker to that discussion), but Williams was just so dominant down low. He recorded a triple double with blocks included!
