Rest easy. Just an awful event, so close to Christmas too.
Felt like we all knew it was coming but this sucks. I never met him, but I’ll miss him.
Prayers to his family he’s going to be missed as a coach!
Mike Leach was a unique human being. He did not look like a football player because he wasn't. He did not look like a football coach because he wasn't. He looked like a lawyer because he was a one. He was a lawyer with an orderly mind and the Gift of Gab that loved a game he never played so much, and he learned it so well, that he could change it fundamentally and sell those changes to his athletic directors and players. There was not a subject he would not comment on with insight and humor. He will be missed for more than just football. His question, "Who closes the bus door when the driver leaves?" is one for the ages.
Makes me sick. One of the old types and we don’t need to lose these guys.

Unbelievably sad and untimely news. Painful thing his family and friends are going through. Condolences and prayers for all who knew and loved him.

Prayers of comfort and peace to the family of Coach Leach. He will be greatly missed by his family, Miss State family and the SEC. He was one that broke the mold. These types only come around once in a long while. Brilliant man with that quirkiness that often piggy backs on those that are like he was. I feel for his Grandchildren, Children, Wife and family. It is very hard to deal with loss, let alone a loss that is unexpected. Then to have it happen around the holidays is just very hard. May they have peace and closeness during these hard times. Love to the all.

Were would UK be if they hired him after canning Joker? I heard he wanted the job but barnhardt but his foot down against it..... probably would have won the east a couple times imo, not saying stoops hasn't done decent, just wonder sometimes
It's always one of the good guys that these things seem to happen to. What an amazing job he did over the years no matter where he was coaching. A sense of humor like no other and so much fun to listen to during half time and after game interviews.

Not even close. I know it’s a common thing to romanticize people after their death but let’s not get carried away.
