Absolutely. Lots of ADs/Principals are scared of what they dont know, and will look to familiar faces. Some of the schools on that list need a complete overhaul. Sadly, most will hire retread coaches or someone they went to school with over a young man from a big time program.

The whole ‘HC’ thing on resumes is like putting a giant ‘Kick Me’ sign on hidden talent. There are some rockstar coordinators and assistants just waiting to moonwalk into the spotlight, but nah, they ain’t got that shiny head coach label yet. It’s like Carolina's best BBQ joint, but everyone’s just looking for the ‘H’ in ‘BBQ’. And don’t get me started on that ‘good ol' boys network’ - It’s like trying to drink a slushie in a blizzard! Super bummer to see legit candidates getting benched just because they don’t look like they came straight outta a head coach factory.

Seems like with what's happening recently at Southern Alamance is with wrestlung, not football. Also heard that Fritz is teaching at Southeast Alamance and not coaching. I am sure some folks are upset over Fritz.

I can find zero info on NE Guilford coaching other than they hired Hall yesterday. No articles on the former coach leaving or getting fired, nothing on the job being posted. Wonder if this was a backdoor hire?

Hall was OC at Dudley and is a NE Guilford alum.

After the previous coach left shortly after he was hired the new coach was labeled as “Interim Coach” also the job was posted on the district website. Things were done by the book, but as usual jobs are already spoken for even before being posted online!
