Appreciate it
I ignored him last week. He's here with an agenda and is constantly trying to start things with other posters. I suggest that everyone else ignore him, too. It makes it much nicer when you have actual Kentucky fans here

Mark Pope is HUMBLE. He averaged 20 minutes, got six starts, and was good for seven and five night in, night out on the greatest college basketball team in the history of history. But he talks about it like he was the water boy. That’s a leader anyone can get behind.

I guess you have to spend a lot of time screaming RRUUUUUUNNNNNNNN when you don’t have a personality that makes kids be willing to RRUUUUUUNNNNNNNN through brick walls for you all on their own. That’s what we have in Pope. I bet even beyond the value of a more effective system, we will see a lot of kids turning in better stats this year than at their previous stops just out of motivation.

I am moving from southwest, florida to the Villages in north central florida at the end of june. So the milk house at disney Is fairly close, and so is Montverde. I will miss not going to the city of palms. I will let you know if I find some stuff to go see.
Good luck on your move to the villages. Just be sure to keep this chart handy.

We traded a HOF coach for a guy who has never even won a tourney game and most of this board thinks we upgraded. You don't understand that the limitations on Cal were a result of the lack of support he was getting from boosters. You don't understand that the same limitations still exist and are going to hamper Pope even worse, because stud players aren't taking a discount to come to Kentucky and play for Mark Pope when they can, now, go to any of our rivals, make more money, and have a greater chance of success.
The limitations on Cal were that he chose to not start two lottery picks . Insanity . He chose to not play the three R’s together until they dropped when analytics clearly showed that was BY FAR our best team. He voluntarily chose to favor non performing pets over the guys who could get the job done . The man is an idiot .

Look at the coaching trees of other prominent coaches from Wooden to coach K . Then look at Cal’s . Kenny Payne? Who are the others. He really does not gave a coaching tree . He is a master recruiter . And that’s all. Hundreds of college and high school coaches could have done a better job of coaching last years team .
He has squandered more talent than any other coach in college history. That is an unfortunate fact .

I have zero, zilch respect for people more comfortable with the lies they have been told than the reality well-meaning people reveal to them. You have a choice. You can make a good one or you can make the one you've obviously made here, But here's the thing: lies only delay the inevitable crash of reality and every single word I am saying to you will be borne out in due time. Probably way sooner than even I envision.
You mean like the inevitable crash of reality we just endured realizing Cal couldnt cover for his lack of coaching by out recruiting it any more? I predicted that and watched it play out just as expected the past few years. His HOF plaque wasnt going to fix that, so yeah I get your point.

I thought this board said that you can't win just by signing the top recruiting class every year. You guys are so selective with your memories. I was told you needed veterans and not only veterans, vets with experience playing together for more than a single season. You can't even keep up with the lies you tell yourselves. I have no such hang ups. I don't spend a dime on this program anymore and neither should any of you.

I don’t spend a dime on this program and obviously hate it but I constantly check the message board and totally OWN all the idiots that actually care about the team. I make sure to show them that my grammar is far superb and that I can use big words became me smart.

I am better than you because I spend my time on a message board of a team I hate and that I do not support just so I can make long posts telling all the idiots that do like the team and do support them how dumb they are with my great intellect and know it all attitude.

Of course I could not do anything better with my time. This is the ultimate own. I am the ultimate supreme King Kong art studies major male species.

Insert big words and some dumbass vocabulary to make me try and seem smart when in reality I am the guy offended at every joke and I am the guy everyone cringes when they see him. But hell yes I own a message board for a team I don’t support. Boom.

But I know it all. I am a superhero. I am “Damnit That Guy is Here” ™️™️

Voting for a democrat near you.

There’s a reason Cal didn’t start two top5 picks. They weren’t top 5 picks at the start of the season and obviously Cal thought he could get more out of those guys. He was coaching those guys up and helped them develop. Some guys aptly can slap in the face and tell them to man up while other players need a pat on the back, positive reinforcement, starting spot, etc to become the player they can become. Cal was great at managing all that. But it’s all good we got a coach that voted for Trump now.

Ahhh you poor thing. You are hurt because you liked Cal’s politics and not Pope’s. GTFO out with that stuff.

PS, Cal didn’t handle any of that well because we lost in the 1st round of the 2 postseason tournaments. Go cheer for Arkansas. We’ll be glad to see you leave.

Never thought there could be a bigger loser than Triple C but then YOU came along. Pretty sure you’ve never spent a dime on this program and you’re most likely not even a UK fan. You lie every time your lips move and you’ve been moving them a lot. There’s not a sincere or honest bone in Triple C’s body. He’s the scum of the earth times two. You and he appear to be twins. It would be a breath of fresh air if you’d go away. GBB.

LOL, Formerly Employed by UK shortened makes us all look stupid? Sorry, but that’s pretty out there.
I don’t know about stupid, but FEBUK isn’t actually a generic for every ex-UK coach. Nobody uses it to refer to Tubby or BCG. I’m pretty sure it originated as a way to refer to RP without saying his name after he took the Louisville job.

He did have limitations from boosters but I disagree that Pope will have those same issues. Cal was never a great offensive coach. Even his best teams had stagnant offensive movement. That is what kept him from winning. Way before NIL was ever a thing

Well does he ever make the HOF with the performances of the last few fat and sassy years? He flat out refuses to play his best lineup last year to spite the Bennies and our "favorite" player.

We have been thinking of moving to Spring Hill, FL..........as most on here know I fly Homing Pigeons..........one of the most competitive racing clubs is in Spring Hill.........They fly hundreds of birds each week in their competitions.......the Director says if we move it should be back to the Blue Ridge Mtns.........I tried it there 50 yrs ago.........I didn't leave anything there.........besides there isn't any flying clubs in the vicinity...........the mountains are tough on racing pigeons.......

I'll listen to your politics on a political board; the ignore button means I won't have to see any more of your posts on this board.

I’m more excited about Pope’s roster than he assembled in 2 months than I was Cal’s roster he had a season to assemble. Think that was one reason he left. Cal knew next season was going to be a disaster with the talent he had coming in.
