I’m a Deion fan. I think he’s a good coach and he reaches talented kids and could go into any living room. He stays positive and preaches a good message. He’s a difference maker.

If I was Louisville I’d embrace the urban school playing in a P5 condense aspect of their program and back the Brinks truck up for him. I bet he’d have them as one of the top two brands in the ACC in no time and they would have some of the top selling swag in the country.

Satterfield seems like a square peg in a round hole there to me. Just a thought.

Allegedly there has already been contact and backchannel negotiations with Georgia Tech. Norvell has FSU going well enough he is safe. Plus they are broke after firing Taggart.

I like the entertainment value Deon will bring to D1. Plus if he can take some top talent away from Georgia and to the ACC, UK benefits.

I don't know why you want Louisville to be good. I hope they keep Shitterfield for the next 3 decades.
I never said I want them to be good. I generally stay indifferent to rivals but still keep up with them. That’s in both football and basketball.

I’m not intimidated by their program and I’d assume/slash hope they aren’t ours.

It was just an observation about a business decision I’d make in their ADs seat. As an AD I’d know my standing and brand and act accordingly.

I think he can do better than UL. GT , Auburn, Neb, all going to be open. I don't see him at Neb, but could def land in Atlanta or possibly Auburn.

What, are we trying to keep Louisville from sucking or something?

I have no idea how Deion would do as a P5 coach but I like the high risk/high reward approach if I was in certain schools’ situation. I doubt Auburn would call him but if I’m GT what the hell do I have to lose.

Deion has preached to black athletes to attend and play for HBCU, to get by with less facilities and to represent? Just seems to be a bad image to bail at the first opportunity for more money and better facilities. But not very smart not to.

He played for the Falcons and Braves so he has deep ties to Atlanta. Even if a bigger school came after him I bet he'd still favor the Georgia Tech job. There's a lot of untapped NIL potential in Atlanta and Deion's probably imagining the dollar signs already.

Not sure how good a coach he actually is, but they'd hire good assistants and get a lot of stud recruits. It'd be fun to see how he does at a big school.

If he’s coaching at Jackson State to serve as a role model in the black community. I doubt money nor personal achievement will have any bearing on what his next move is. If there even is a next move.

He certainly doesn’t need the money from a P5 school so maybe he will stay at JSU. He has brought a lot of attention to HBCUs in the last few years.

He has attracted some talented kids to Jackson state, quite a few with D1 ability. He will do that at a big school too, but Tech requires more to get in and to stay in than the NCAA. Wasn't a problem before GA St started a program, lots of GT athletes took classes at the sister school. But that ended when GA St started playing football. Now AU is a different story, he could Excell there.

Thought I’d dig this up. I’m usually right, though right before it’s cool for public sentiment.

We dodged a bullet and he would have killed it at the ‘Ville. He’d have took the job too. Easy path to a playoff.
