I watched some of last years Appy State games, Coach Satterfield appears to be a coach that can "do more with less" because he will coach to the players strengths rather than force the players to play in a rigid system. In all of the games I watched the players never gave up and the coaches never phoned it in.

I think we will be better than expected. I looked at the roster and saw depth (player names) at every position although I don't know if it is quality depth because I live in Houston how. Just by reading and doing some light research I feel like Coach is going to surprise us.

I was thinking this morning. Yes Louisville may be lacking in some talent and depth at some key positions but I just have this feeling that they are going to kick some arse this year. Coach Satterfield has played the role of giant slayer his whole coaching career. He is not going to be scared to face Clemson, Notre Dame or anyone else on our schedule. I think that and the fact that the other coachs on the staff are hungry and, eager to prove something is going to rub off on the team.

I've only heard one thing that is a little concerning to me. Coach said they needed better play out the center position. I don't know what he means by that, if it is just coach speak or the center is having a hard time blocking...

As a UK guy (don’t shoot!!) I would be patient. UL program is hurting from a talent perspective but CSS, given time, will build a great program.

We had some folks that wanted to fire Stoops after every loss, but damn, Joker left him 3 good players. It takes time.

I want to see it! I only root against UL one day per year, and for them the rest. I say team first state second! Go Cats, Cards, toppers and Colonels!!

Your visit here is “nice” but I’d advise you that you should be concerned about the so called level of talent at lessington after the players that count (other than T. Wilson) have all left town or have been injured. Of course, your OOC schedule is pitiful other than THE UofL so you do have that on your side. Go Toledo!!

Well, I guess you didn’t read my post...I root for Louisville, except against UK...think we will find out who is the better team later this year. My only point is I am concerned the fan base may expect too much, too fast and chase away a good(great?) coach...in football, a quick fix is rarely sustained.

But thanks for the advice...I think

I did, in fact, read your post. Out of every 1,000 uahkay fans maybe one will admit to rooting for THE UofL ever, EVER. I’ll admit that I never, NEVER root for the cayuts as I consider them to be nothing but a welfare program for the $ec. I could say worse things but my mother always told me that would be a bad idea and my mother never lied to me.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but no true fan of either team would be able to root for the other. It just isn't physically or mentally possible. Sure you can 'say' that but it feels empty and, well, fake. I sincerely hope UofK gets smoked in every game they play, and not because I dislike them, but because I dislike UofK fans (generally speaking). Don't hate anyone but dislike is not hate.

Anyway, hope Sat does great, but it will take time. Petrino built them fast, but castles made of sand and all that. Sat will do better.

All I was trying to say, but that’s for trying to turn me into an anger management counselor!!

Don’t be sad. It’s just good, old-fashioned all- American sports hate. It’s what good rivalries are made of. Ask Michigan and Ohio State fans.

Would you say Charlie Strong built them slow? What about the job Tom Herman and Frost have done at their stops? I expect 6 wins this year. Next year 8 or 9 with a lot returning. Following year 8 or 9. Next year 10 or 11 or more.

I tend to agree with this assessment because my "google coach" eyes tell me we're not in as bad shape as it appears. I think Coach Satterfield was hired in the nick of time.

I think Satterfield is good but that is lofty expectations from a 2 win team that was virtually blown out of most games. I say just be patient with Satterfield

Ok now I know your a SuCk fan. Most have a hard time speaking FB. Petrino didn’t build anything fast. He was given a well established team from Strong. He just had to continue to recruit correctly. He didn’t.

You calling us defensive is hilarious because the most sensitive fan base is yours. They kick people of their site for disagreeing, as several on this site will attest. Not me because I really could careless what goes on over there or at SuCk. Which brings me to my final point. Why do SuCk fans feel the need to come on our site and give advise as if your program has arrived? You haven’t had a coach leave your program with a winning record in over 60 years. And this was your first 10 win season since the 1970’s?

But I do understand how you guys think. Your history begins with your last win. No history prior.

Punt John Isenberger Punt! Was the motto for that team. Harry Gonzo at QB. Local cutter named Jade Butcher a receiver. Other studs like Bennie Norman, Murphy, Cal Snowden, Larry Highbaugh. It was a crazy year in Big Ten. Only team the Hoosiers lost to was Minneapolis. Cannot remember his name but UMinn has a running back #44 IU had no answer for. Hoosiers lost to USC and OJ Simpson in the Rosebowl, score was respectful 14-3. Will never forget, same year MLK was shot in Memphis. I was a freshman living in McNutt. I recovered and became a diehard Card fan.

Like I said, I am also a UL fan. But seems you refuse to accept that. Free country so you are allowed to be a big of a fool as you want.

It’s U of L.... we never said UK fans can’t be band wagoners... in fact, I know a few that claim to be UK basketball fans and Alabama football fans...
