Absolutely kick the field goal. Needed two scores. No other coach in America from peewee ball to the NFL would have gone for it in that situation. Flat out incompetent decision.

I agree with Jones. If you kick the field goal, you gotta get a lucky hail Mary later. Try for the touchdown when you're close. Then try to get in field goal position. Much better scenario.
And regardless. Both aren't likely to happen. One millionth on the list of coaching blunders this year just in the sec.

Agree with Saguaro .. You have to go for the TD when you're that close. The play call itself was what was stupid. 2 yard pass needing 4 and then the receiver runs out of bounds instead of trying to get the 2 more yards (which he could not have done)

To me it's Southern Miss and Georgia.
They only beat us for the same reason UofL almost beat us. Our young defenders can get the job done with mobile QB's at times, but play undisciplined and/or out of control at other times, creating opportunity for improvisation by kids like Dobbs or Jackson.
I hope SEC wins all their bowl games. ...except for Tennessee. A bowl loss for them would cause more implosion in Knoxville. Rocky Top might become Rocky Road or Rocky Bottom. Their fan base is livid right now. Jones might be toast.
Butch almost came to Kentucky. I liked him at first, but either the pressure is too great for him at UT or he's half crazy.
Right call, right play.......poor decision by receiver........the first down was there for him .
