The donors said if Hubert came back, they would withhold $$$ to UNC
He was 18-0 at home this year. But LOST to rivals Duke and NC State. Unacceptable to the Rams Club. And then that first-round collapse and post-game presser fiasco. What coach would want to step into that **** show?Wow, Hubert Davis out at UNC.
Was that for Hodgson's wife or Hubert Davis getting canned?

Phil Collins agrees with you. He can't feel it in the air tonightuninspiring for a program that will likely struggle in the future. They were in the Horizon League in 2010-2011 when they shocked the world with back to back national championship appearances..but that was with Brad Stevens. They continued the success with Holtzman on a smaller scale while getting a golden ticket in the Big East. Yet they have not made the NCAA tourney since 2018 although they would have made it in 202. . They failed with a successful but aging coach in Matta and Ive never heard of this guy as a coach, he is a former great Butler player with no head coaching experience. Providence just went out and hired a top notch coach. Butler will be at the back of the bus with schools like De Paul and Seton Hall

Sorry, folksIm assuming this was a misfire on the posting.
Yup, at least it was not a porn video!oops I think that was meant somewhere else
That would be wild because they couldn’t wait to get rid of himLSU making a move to re-acquire Will Wade, from NC State. Likely waiting until April 1 to save $3million on the buyout. NC State unlikely to match LSU's offer. Lotsa drama down on Tobacco Road. UNC and NC State scurrying to find new HCs.
Pretty good read on ESPN about the death of the blue bloods specifically cites Kansas Kentucky and UNC struggling last 6 years and NIL erawhy would dusty may want to go to unc, I think unc needs a reality check
NIL is driving a lot of coaches out of the game. It's impossible to get any continuity year to year with this new transfer portal world.
Sorry, folks

Here ya go
I made no statement about her, and I just posted a News12 link. I have a neighbor who is an anchor on News 12. Let's stay on topic to avoid a fight and to keep a PITA poster off my back.Youre forgiven and i agree with you about her
And there's the (near)-elimination of cheating. Pre-NIL, certain programs had the administrative and alumni support to break or bend the conference and NCAA rules; other programs could not get such support. And so those rule-breaking programs rose to prominence and built their brands into powerhouses, perennial winners. Now, in the NIL era, most of that dynamic is gone. Now, those other programs once held in check by ethics and morals have the green light to collect and spend $$$, judiciously. Academic performance is a non-factor. It's a business, requiring a GM-type model. The next system test will be establishing NIL caps/limits. Should that happen, the cheating culture will re-emerge. The rule followers will again take a back seat, while the rule breakers excel. Oddly enough, that said, there may soon be a push by certain past rule-breaker "blue blood" programs to push for NIL caps, knowing they have a path to re-establish themselves.Pretty good read on ESPN about the death of the blue bloods specifically cites Kansas Kentucky and UNC struggling last 6 years and NIL era
because the floor has been raised for programs without tradition but with money the ceiling is lower for some of these programs that have gotten by strictly on tradition
Apparently, he's back. That's a bizarre situation. That would be wild because they couldn’t wait to get rid of him
I guess since it was violations based and not performance based it’s less oddApparently, he's back. That's a bizarre situation.
yeah LSU success has not been that great in hoops overall compared to some of the bigger football programs who have won in both sports. ACC schools if you are not duke, unc, va are really not thought of highly at this point. I think long term he is better off away from NcSt but its pretty bizarre to see lsu bring him back but again no one cares anymore about violations or show cause...its about winning and having money to pay players..those that worry about good character are likely to be left behindI guess since it was violations based and not performance based it’s less odd
still not sure how good a job LSU is in loaded SEC vs NC STATE
guessing the answer is entirely NIL based
Luke Murray will be the next head coach at BC:

Murray brings to BC more than a decade of coaching experiencebceagles.com
This might be a really good hire.
Is Arizona that much worse of a situation NIL wise that UNC is a better job?seems like Lloyd is the frontrunner for UNC
A bit surprised BC was able to pull this hire off. Guess Murray got tired of waiting for a HC job and/or got some promises on NIL resources from the admin. Saw a bit of speculation the other day that maybe he'd take Charleston with that one opening up/arguably being a better career springboard than BC at this point. Very curious to see how he does - by all accounts the total package as a recruiter and X&O guy.Luke Murray will be the next head coach at BC:

Same. I was surprised he didn’t get (accept?) the Fairfield job after Jay Young left. I’ll be curious to see how he does at BC.A bit surprised BC was able to pull this hire off. Didn’t he beat Duke at home?!He was 18-0 at home this year. But LOST to rivals Duke and NC State. Unacceptable to the Rams Club. And then that first-round collapse and post-game presser fiasco. What coach would want to step into that **** show?
