Didn’t he beat Duke at home?!
UNC is part of the delusional group of blue bloods who realize they hate NIL cause their fan base cannot keep up with the jones so to speak or do not have a uber whale donor

you see some of the schools below the mason dixon line struggling that used to flourish because you could get the best kids by dangling a new car not a 7 figure salary

Expect to see the blue blood schools embrace NIL with a passion when they see name recondition is not the same type of recruiting help it was years ago. Realizing their name means far less in an era that money is the driving force when talent pick the program they will go to.
The Blue Bloods falling behind will go all out to get their donors to buy into the NIL game so they can keep up with the new money programs that are passing them in the talent hunt game.

Not that simple… it’s part of why the big ten RACED past the SEC in football the SEC alumni base does not have the same shall we say “investment portfolio” that many of the big ten schools do

Bringing in a loyal son after being dumped by the last HC .
Can't say I blame them, especially when hiring an upcoming talent destined for bigger things than being an assistant
>Gainey was on NC State's short list last year and was believed to be one of the final candidates before the Wolfpack hired Wade. >

The College of Charleston is expected to name Akron head coach John Groce as its next head coach, per multiple reports. The hire is anticipated to be finalized pending Board of Trustees approval on Monday.

MacDonald, a 1988 St. Bonaventure alum, has been the head coach at D2 Daemen for the past 12-seasons., including an incredible 61-3 mark over the past two seasons.

This is simply untrue. UNC for example can out money whip anyone. Their problem is coaching. You can spend $20M on a bunch of “scholars” (lol) and if the coaching sucks, it does not matter. Take a coach like SLUs Schertz and stick him in UK or UNC or other program and they’re SS or better almost immediately. UNC hired an alum…it hasn’t worked that well. The idea of parity is a mirage in football as it is in basketball.

If you’ve been watching the shift in college football the last few years you know that simply isn’t true

the need for deep pockets is even more critical in football and the big 10 has cleaned up the natty 3 years in a row

3-5 that can outspend Michigan and Ohio State? That’s hilarious

Son of Chief of Staff for Rutgers Football Kevin MacConnell served as manager for RU Basketball under Gary Waters 2 years and Fred Hill 2 years.

Is this the guy Areyounuts was honking to be the head coach at RU before Pikiell waas hired?

Luke Murray will be the next head coach at BC:

This might be a really good hire.

A bit surprised BC was able to pull this hire off. Guess Murray got tired of waiting for a HC job and/or got some promises on NIL resources from the admin. Saw a bit of speculation the other day that maybe he'd take Charleston with that one opening up/arguably being a better career springboard than BC at this point. Very curious to see how he does - by all accounts the total package as a recruiter and X&O guy.
i'm gonna miss seeing his father Bill Murray at UConn games.
