Nope not at all

Just saying if you want to be on or at the same level of recruiting you need what they have.

Which is $$$$$$
Does anyone on here know what exactly psu and okie state pays for athletes or is that just another conspiracy theory to justify the whole they are cheating bs. Iowa just spent 30 million on a new facility ffs

I don't think some on here can follow along well. MSU said less money (than PSU/OSU) and tougher compliance hurts Iowa. Willie shot back saying 'are you going to tell prospective new coaches that". MSU said they already know or at least will surely ask those hard questions before taking the job. Willie asked "already know what" because he wasn't following along. MSU explained again, Willie then laughed at the idea Iowa/HWC lacks resources (compared to PSU/OSU), even though our primary donor has stated as much on here. Many on here have said alot of big names won't come to coach unless a ton more money is dumped in to HWC too, and some of the same then laugh at the idea that Iowa lacks resources to compete with the elite. Did I cover everything so far?
Sounds like a lot of ******** to me and yes i was following along. Like i said before lotes of conjecture there with no proof. Just saying its true doesn't make it true lmfao

You seem to now be talking to yourself in this thread. I've no clue why you responded to my 10-day old post that wasn't directed to you, nor do I know what the hell you're saying. I think you're in the wrong District of town tonight.

My prediction, which is mine and no one else's, is that it will be a male and someone with significant coaching experience.
A male with significant coaching experience. I think that's probably yours and everyone else's prediction. Thanks for the breaking news.

So forget about all the young former star wrestlers everyone talks about, including Kem. Thomsen will be a solid room coach, especially for Ben and Mocco, just not going to move the recruiting needle.

This account gives off the impression you might actually feel like there is a little smoke to that fire. You are pushing back pretty hard for "fake" rumors. Also when someone laughs at their own statement it means they don't believe what they are saying. Maybe take a break and go outside. The mean internet "rumors" will be here when you get back. Have a wonderful day.

Has Iowa had a lot of problems recruiting quality upper weights and I somehow missed it?
It is pretty crazy that Iowa was only known as “Lightweight U” for so long and the upper half of the lineup has actually been the best part of the team for quite a while now.

285 has been Cass and Kueter(except for the gambling year). AA 5 of the last 6 years

197 Warner, Glazier, Buchanan and Arnold. AA 6 of the last 7 with a Finalist and Champ.

184 Assad, Arnold and now Ferrari. The one inconsistent weight til Ferrari.

174: Kemerer, Brands, Kennedy. 2nd,4th,5th,R12,4th,3rd

165: Marinelli, Kennedy, Caliendo. AA 6 of the last 8(2 R12’s)with 2 Finals appearances.

And even in the gambling year, they got Hill to NCAAs and he even won a match. He’s been a sub .500 wrestler since. It was a good coaching and wrestling job.

Willie Saylor mentioned on their podcast this morning that he doesn't know who it will be, but knows who it will not be and mentioned Yianni is not the guy who will replace Telford. Didn't shut down the rumors that it would be Nick Gwiazdowski, but didn't confirm it.

So, still on track for the replacement hire to be male with significant coaching experience.

I am not bs’ing. There are some rumors this might actually be happening. I don’t know how credible it is though. I would be happy to see Ramos return. He has gotten some good exposure to different guys like Scott and Koll.
Do we really need another lightweight coach, especially to replace an upper weight coach?

I wouldn’t venture to say but it’s a legitimate question. Maybe they feel like it’s better to go with the best available guy who they can hand the reigns over to in a couple years. Or maybe it’s just a bad rumor that has no legs.

I do question whether having an upper weight coach is super necessary. There will be some solid options at the HWC who can roll with the big guys. I would love to see a new 125kg guy come and train with the HWC. The problem is there just aren’t that many out there. Maybe they can lure Yonger to the HWC. Buchanan would be a heck of a lot better than the options the CWC can provide.

It’s also entirely possible that there is more than 1 position being filled.

Apparently Thompson was a hands on coach for Snyder and DT while training in Tempe for the Olympics. Its been said by many that this guy is a very good coach, one of the many was at ASU after he started there. Very well liked and he wrestled at grandview, so he is heading home. Im sure many here know all if this already
