I rmemeber it was against Vanderbilt around this time frame, but not sure if it was 2002 or 2000. I have a picture with my son and I after the game and we were dressed like eskimos.

In 1997, I attended the Vanderbilt game in Nashville. When I got to my car, I could barely feel my keys and could barely unlock my car door. I met Tim Couch and Craig Yeast after the game.

Never been cold at commonwealth usually pretty numb by the time I get in and stay numb throughout

Totally agree with this. I was at that game and left at halftime as my girlfriend couldn't take the cold anymore. Had a tough time getting home as the roads were already getting bad. I can remember the UT fans showing up way before game time and drinking heavily. I figured they had been there for about 1-2 hours prior to kickoff. I really wanted to stay but got overruled.

2008 against Vandy was brutal. We got beat by Vandy in the cold on a saturday night and the basketball team got beat by VMI the night before. It was a terrible weekend for the Cats.

I went to most of the games in commonwealth in the 80's starting in 82, but did anyone else go to the Cincinnati - Pittsburgh game that was so cold, 14 below when we got out of the car - coldest game for me. I would guess it was in the late 80's or early 90's.

It was a noon game in 1997 vs UT, it was when we still played them the last game of the season and it was raining/misting the entire game. The guy on the news said the rain was going to miss us for the game, so i didn't bring any rain gear. Absolutely froze my *** off that game.

The 2009 MCB was pretty cold. Low 30's, light snow through much of the game.

Last years game against Charlotte was pretty brutal and one of the very rare instances I left early.

I've been to a ton of cold games though, growing up my dad would bring me to either the Vandy or UT game, which was always the last home game depending on the year and usually pretty brutally cold.

The UT game that Billy Jack Haskins QB'd before he left was pretty nasty.

Vandy game in early 90's....snowed... was in upper deck. Like to froze to death

I remember we played Miss State during Halloween in 2009 and it was super cold for a pre-November game.

Basically, any game in late November has always sucked weather wise.

That was the first one that came to mind, but we won!!

2008 Vandy was god awful as well, both weather wise and on the field, one of the biggest turds laid by Brooks, very uncharacteristic of his teams. We did not get any punts blocked, what I do remember was roughing THEIR punter about 3 times giving Vandy extra FDs at the worst possible moments.

I did not go to the Charlotte game last year, wife would have had me committed had I so much as mentioned it. Was an awful opponent in ridiculous weather, stupid as hell to schedule night games in late November, by the way. The Austin Peay game would have been at least semi-tolerable had it been played in the afternoon.

Years ago, and I was a little kid, I remember playing UT at Stoll Field, maybe 1971 or 1973, and about froze to death. Some of the older guys on here can help me out. Was that the game they intercepted a pitchout and ran it back for a TD when we about to score and tie them up?

For me I think it was 2008 vs. Vandy - sleeting and just miserable. We also lost, think we had two punts blocked.

Bonus: coldest I've been at any game was the 2009 Music City Bowl vs. Clemson. The second half was just miserable.

I was at that bowl game. It was rally really cold.
