Maybe it’s me, but I just don’t get why grown men are in their feelings about ANY player choosing to leave (for whatever reason). Just wish him well and go about your day. He was certainly a player for the future, but he’s not a key piece to what we have planned for next season. We don’t know why these kids are leaving Duke, but judging by the posts and others on social media, I think I possibly see why *Kanye shrug*
I have a thought. It’s because it’s college basketball not the league. This year especially isn’t college ball. Look at the team. Should Duke win number six that means the possibly one player returns to build around. Blake. Your also hoping that kid wants to wait his turn and no I don’t think they will change the transfer rule back.
Also , no one is telling these kids what to do or holding them at Duke. In every commitment statement all referred to saying,” proud to be a member of the brotherhood!” So that’s a statement only for the moment. It’s simple kids come, don’t like their playing time or earning it so they bounce. And yes every player already knew who was on roster and who was being recruited.
I think Coleman could have been good for Duke but look at the out come
Four out of last years freshman are gone, one may be on his way out ( No one knows especially with no one seeing Stewart bolting for the pro’s)
Give me ten kids that buy into a program. Not for money but for heart the right to play ball at the highest level for the history of a program not the dollar signs you can show them.
College might as well just go to the new gleague.
