Lol, what do you want me to say after reading this? Must I drop my love of UNC, start to despise Roy Williams and get rid of all my Tar Heel gear?

The guy who wrote this just sounds like a bitter jerkoff. I have my criticisms of Roy from time to time, but I do believe he is a genuinely good man who cares a great deal for his players, and this guy has the nerve to call him dirty?

I know I'm on a Duke board. I know there will be no love of anything Carolina or anything related to the scandal. Hell, I'm not happy with the way the school has handled this, trying to sweep it under the rug essentially.

But I'm not going to trash our coach either. Far from it. Thanks for dedicating a Roy bashing article to me. I am truly honored
CB you seem like a reasonable guy who catches a ton of grief at THR. You a tar heel fan but my one question for you. For the moment forget about the academic scandal but from at least 1960 UNC has been involved in so many questionable things i.e. point shaving, coverups of DWI'S by Dean, players sleeping with coaches wives, assault and battery by players on other teams fans, and association with known felons by your players. There are other instances that I could mention and I ignored the most obvious one. Please tell me one other school with such a checkered past and what you find admirable about UNC

I think Roy knew what was going on. If he didn't, well, then his head was completely in the sand. However, I think Roy is a pretty genuine and good, all around guy. I like having some fun at his expense, though.

If Roy did not know, he should of known.

That is evidenced by Valvano vs. NCAA in 1990.

V did not know the players were selling comp tickets, or their new Nike shoes for money.

But because he did not know, it became the first incident of Lack of Institutional Control from the NCAA.

Did State gain a competitive advantage by having players sell tickets or shoes? Heck no.

And Roy didn't know his players were not staying eligible by not going to class, but players were still getting A's and making the Dean's List?

And he didn't think that was strange?

Says a lot about a UNC degree, that that would seem 100% normal.

Again, if he didn't know, he should have known.

The fact that Syracuse self-imposed and did not play in the NCAA's 2 years ago, and Louisville did the same thing last year, yet UNC did not either year and is playing in the NCAA Championship game tonight again, is like getting away with a double homicide.

And all of UNC's enemies know it.

They might want to wish they do not win tonight. It could get really ugly.
