I've come up with 29 teams that are pretty much etched in stone, but who would the other three be?

ACC - Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Miami Fl, North Carolina, Notre Dame
Big XII - Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State
SEC - Missouri, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida
B1G - Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State
Pac XII - Washington, USC, Stanford, UCLA, Oregon

Pitt, Virginia, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, TCU, Purdue, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Arizona, Colorado. Maybe even West Virginia?

Been predicting the 32 super power for years. I've got 25 need 7 more. Basically going off of history and marketing. ESPN has a similar story going as well.

ACC - Clemson, FSU, Miami, Notre Dame,
Big 12 - Oklahoma, Texas
Big 10 - Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, PSU, Iowa, Nebraska
SEC - Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Tennessee
PAC 12 - USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Stanford

Pitt, Virginia, Syracuse, Purdue, Maryland, Indiana, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Missouri, Arizona, Colorado, West Virginia, VT, Arkansas and UNC?

Syracuse needs to pick it up a little. Football seemed to be much more fun when you could look at them as one of the most hated teams in America. Now days, it's sort of like playing Vanderbilt or Rutgers.

Syracuse is not much different than WVU even though Mountaineers have a tough time beating them. They won a national title in 1959 finishing ranked #1 with an 11-0 record. They have won 10 games 7 times. Have won 8 or 9 at least 12 times. It's not like they are world class. But they have had some big time players. They have finished ranked twice this century. In 2001 they ranked #14 and 2018 they finished ranked #15.

Ask nearly any active college administrator to predict the next wave of conference realignment and you’ll get a predictably measured answer — as in, there’s not going to be one.

“The answer used to be (expansion) is on the backburner,” said SEC commissioner Greg Sankey. “My answer now is it’s been placed into the kitchen cupboard. It’s not even on the stove.”

In the SEC...
They are waiting on a N Carolina and Virginia school.

They can't do anything until the ACC makes a move.

NC State has value because it has a large alumni base in N Carolina and a beaten dog mentality.

Sankey will say that.
Doesn't mean other conferences are looking to move.

The rest of this stuff...
Hard because FOX owns the B1G and ESPN owns the SEC.

They are the ones competiting with each other.

Oh, I know it won't happen. B1G teams would never do something like that.

I was mainly trolling bucky and townes, in order to get a 10 page thread in the works.

Working with these names left out of top 32 id think Ole Miss is a no brainer and IU or Purdue is a no brainer for Indiana. So I’m picking between Pitt, Maryland or UVA, Kentucky and Syracuse. If I was picking I’d go Ole Miss, Maryland and IU.

This would quickly become political with blue states crying foul. So...once pols get involved let the cleansing begin. Welcome to big time college football Maine...Vermont...Rhode Island...Delaware...Connecticut...North Dakota...etc. Participation trophies for everyone! Equal payouts for all. Wow.

Huge conference has to be created outside of the B1G and SEC.
More importantly one that has academic power.

The schools in the B1G and SEC have no reason to leave right now.

Hire a commissioner and select a board of governors. The board selects the schools league rules and policies. The commish negotiates the TV deal and his office handles the day to day running of the conference or division.

The nFL of college football will have 32 teams, 4 divisions and a 4 team playoff.

The schools left out from the mega conference would join in with the G5 schools and form more geographic conferences and have a 8-16 team playoff.

Pigs will be flying before the above would ever happen.
