If we go 2-6 and 6-6, then we beat UL. Odd, b/c I read the prediction on the CFN website a few days ago and they had us beating South Carolina and Vandy and MSU, but losing to UL and to mizzou.

I predict 6-6 or 6-7, I think we have at least one pretty big upset, but then we could easily be upset by one of the teams we should be slight favorites against, not sure we will even be favorites against any/many SEC teams. We REALLY do need to go bowling this year IMO, necessary to continue our level of recruiting, although this staff has handled a TWO win and a late season collapse very well.

Good observation - I think we go 6-6 and 3-5 (beating USC, Vandy and Mizzou), with a punchers chance at 7-5 (4-4) by possibly beating Miss St at home.

Bottom line, no one has a clue how UK performs this year. Last year's lost golden opportunity has led to this year's negative outlook from the press and our fans.

At the end of the day, we are more mature, deeper, more experienced and know what it takes to play four quarters instead of a half. We all go as far as Drew Barker takes us. His leadership will make the difference between 6-6 or better.

It's hard to predict 7-5, 8-4 simply because I always come come up short on my projections.... Still, I can't help but to say 7-5 and possible 8-4... This is the most confident that I've seen Stoops, and he said this team has paid their dues, and this is the first time that he's complimented them on their hard work... Every team needs a few breaks, and I think this year it's our turn....

UK isn't beating U of L. They could go 6-6 but it will take some luck. Have to beat three G5 teams and 3 SEC teams.

UofL is going to be extremely overrated. This is Petrinos first year without all the dirty recruits. Let's see how he does in a competitive ACC before we grant UL the Bama of the 2016 season. This isn't the Big East anymore.

i thi k Ul will be better than you thibk, but they' ll have 2 major issues...1. They lack the depth necessary to play high level football in a power conference. 2. They are dependent upon a running qb. Lamar Jackson goes down, and chances are he will at some point, the cards immediatly become mediocre.

I know Mizzou is going to have a great DL but what else do they have? Are their DLinemen going to score their points for them too? Mizzou had the worst offense in the conference last year and the 2nd worst in the nation averaging only 13.6 points. Their top two returning WR's combined for 56 catches and 676 yards and 7 scores. They only ran the ball for 1,385 yards and 4 scores last year. They return a sophomore QB that looked to have talent at times and looked awful at times as well. Lock completed 49% of his passes and was 2-6 as a starter. Their offense will be the worst in the conference again this year but everyone is picking them to finish 4th in the conference, ahead of UK who returns 10 starters on offense from a team that beat them last year. They have a new head coach with no head coaching experience. I don't get the Mizzou love at all

I think sportswriters are completely uncertain as to how Kentucky will play this year.

Nailed it. I mean really though, what do we know about us this year?

Very good depth and skill at RB, WR/TE, G/C and DB.

QB- Barker has all the skill needed and has been doing the right things all spring/summer

OT- biggest weakness, especially at LT. I have a feeling Young will take over some point and not look back.

DT-very unproven. Elam has to take a big step for us to be improved.

DE/OLB- some very skilled guys here. But, again, unproven.

ILB-no experience hardy at all but some talented guys. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out between Love, Jones and Kash.

So, just looking at that, we have question marks and 3-4 of the most important positions on the field in QB, OT, D line. It's no wonder these writers don't have much confidence. We won't know what we've got until the lights come on and see who responds.

If one man can cause a drop that far, then UL is weak.... It takes more than one man to make a football team....

Why do predict us going bowling and losing with the 6-7 prediction?

If Drew Barker can be Mike Hartline we go 8-4. If Boom is healthy and stays motivated we go 9-3.

Sounds good! Realistically, we win six and go bowling. Can go 7-5 and a better bowl. By the grace of God and the ball bouncing our way, 8-4 and a bowl south of Nashville. The BBN goes wild and all the negative fans state they were with UK all the way. Fans who were calling for Stoops to be fired now panic he may leave for another program. Bourbon sales go through the roof. Recruiting improves beyond our wildest imagination. The SEC now have to plan to play us instead of a relaxing trip to Lexington and an easy win.

I'm dreaming, of course, but "why not?"
