Uh, I read what I typed out loud and didn't laugh. Not sure where your sense of superiority is coming from, my belief in UT's pitching staff was hardly in isolation. Go back and watch the selection shows and listen to the D1 baseball podcasts. Most of their talking heads said that UT was a dark horse World Series team b/c of their pitching depth. I hate UT, it gives me no pleasure to give them any credit, but I'll call a spade a spade after they went on the road and knocked out the hottest team in baseball (Clemson) and then went to hattiesburg and knocked out a good team playing for their retiring coach.

You're entitled to your opinion, I just think it's (very) wrong.
Not equating a team at the end of the year automatically with their preseason ranking is not a superiority complex....its common sense.

Then again, you suggest podcasts of opinions mean something better actually game results.

I will extend it as well that I think you are incredibly wrong.

It is really too bad we had the super regional match up with LSU. If we had been in a super regional with anybody other than them, Wake Forest, or Florida we would have been in Omaha. Maybe we will get a better draw next year or host a super.
LSU is definitely not the #5 seed.

LSU beating the tar out of them but also getting the calls at the plate. Umps want to go home. It would be a minor, sports miracle if the Gators came back to win this or even tie it. They look like they let the air out last night

LSU wins the title. This bunch is absolutely loaded up and down the lineup. I saw Kendall Rogers posted two top kids from Wake are in the transfer portal. I wonder if they are headed to Baton Rouge.

I saw several of the LSU players interviewed during the World Series. Very articulate and seemed like good kids. A number of them will be in the majors. I think their coach is a jackass.

Agree on their coach especially after the weather debacle in supers. Crews won't be in the minors long.

Absolutely LMAO last night watching their CF needlessly JUMP for 2 straight fly balls. My little league coach would've pulled him

Purists in me...what do you think?
Would like to see the ncaa give a two year notice that in say 2026, that all teams that play in CWS must use wooden bats only. Would live it!

Im torn on the metal vs wood debate. I love the sound of the metal bats but I wouldnt be terribly upset if college went to wooden bats. But there is zero way the NCAA could mandate wooden bats only for the CWS. It would have to be across the board all season and I dont see that happening.

I assume costs associated with wooden bats may play into a bit. Those BBCOR bats are expensive but last all season.

6-9 was awful for LSU until Monday night. Jobert, Thompson, etc. Bad.

We would’ve gotten smoked by Wake and Florida, too (responding to another post).

Why all season ? I'm know that
alot of these summer leagues they play in are wooden bat only. Metal bats are because of
cost metal vs wood.

The manufacturers have finally been able to make aluminum bats that are similar in performance to wood bats and are less expensive because they last much longer. The main difference is the ping.

Aware of this, its the crack of the bat. Also, don't like uniforms not getting dirty!
