I hope UK has a game where they bring these out. Also, might as well have one tune-up game where we bring these bad boys out of the crawl space:

Fans are worried about outside shooting with this team, but between Collin Chandler, Kam, Aberdeen and hopefully Jasper Johnson, we're going to be just as good as we were last year.

Chandler really started coming on late last year, I expect him to he even better in 25/26.

I agree about Chandler, he probably will put up more shots this year and be a high 30's guy. Jasper and Aberdeen are the same type of player, athletic and can create their own shot, but they are not gonna be 40% three point shooters. Is what it is. The only athlete who was a poor three point shooter and became an excellent three point shooter I know is SGA. What he did with his offensive game is incredible.

I can’t wait to see Chandler teabaggin’ folks this year. It’s coming. That dunk he had in the blue/white game… shades of Brent Barry.

Yeah he’s got some posters in his future for sure.

Florida didn't have anyone who shot better than 38.6% last season and only a couple who shot over 35%. On the other hand Duke, Houston and Auburn each had 4 or more shoot over 40%. Now some of those were limited shots per game but just shows it's not all about having a team full of guys who hit 40% as much as it is having guys who hit them at the right times.

Florida also has the luxury of their PG pulling some absolute balls of steel shots off in almost every game I watched in the tournament.

Outside of replacing Brea, I think the 25-26 team could be every bit as good as the 24-25 Cats beyond the perimeter.

My best guess for 25-26:
Chandler/Williams = upper 30s near 40%
Oweh/Aberdeen/Johnson/Noah/Diabate (low volume) = ~35%
Lowe/Jelavic/Garrison = ~33%

By comparison in 24-25:
Brea/Almonor = >43%, 42%
Butler/Jax = upper 30s
Oweh/Chandler = ~35%
Noah/Carr/Perry = 32%
Garrison = 30%

So, again, I think the teams will end up being similar as far as just how many guys will be competent threats beyond the arc. The difference is the 25-26 team won't have anyone who is deadly even when someone is one him like Brea.

However, there may be more guys able to penetrate on the 25-26 team, so there may be more open 3s than last year...at least, that's what I'm hoping.

We saw what happened as Chandler grew comfortable in the offense and it's only going to get better. If you are Mr. Basketball in the state of Utah, you have to be able to play. He was a top 35 prospect coming out of high school, after a two-year layoff , it takes time to get back in the groove.

Chandler is a way quicker and more explosive athlete thean Jaxson Robinson. When the rust began coming off his shooting and ball handling skills later in the season, it convinced me that he will be a major contributor next year. Glad to see him putting in the work.
Totally agree . Plays defense as well.

Same circumstances as in baseball where a guy has a 270 batting average but hits 350 with runners in scoring position.

A fair amount of people dog the denims, and to each their own. I can understand why some may not like them. But, I guarantee, if they bring back the denims, Nike won't be able to keep up with the demand for the unis and accompanying tshirts and swag. I'm a 46 year old white dude, and haven't bought a UK unis article since I got a pair of the 78 throwback shorts, but I would absolutely get my hands on a pair of denim shorts. Probably both colors.

Don't forget about Jelavich!

Plus I think we'll see marked improvement from Lowe, Oweh, Dioubate and Garrison who will be threats as well.

We both are the same age I'll be 46 this year and I totally agree with you!

Yeah, I'm trying to keep my predictions as realistic as possible. Lowe can really only improve, I can't imagine he could shoot worse, but I'm not sure how much he can realistically improve.
Jelavic is going to need some time here, but it's possible he could have games where he doesn't miss, but I suspect he will be inconsistent this year. I bet he will be a force in year 2, if we are lucky enough the get him for a 2nd year.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Oweh in the 37% range, that would make him really tough to guard.
If Garrison and Mo D can get their percentages anywhere near 35%, just hand us the trophy now.

Please NEVER wear the UK denims again! Yea, we won a championship & that was the only downer of that season. Give me traditional UK looking uniforms all-day & everyday.
