Time reports that 20 years ago, Comey was a deputy special counsel on the Senate Whitewater Committee, looking into the conduct of then President Bill Clinton and the first lady. The inquiry focused on whether Bill had used his political position as governor of Arkansas in the 1980s to push through an illegal loan to benefit the couple’s business partner in the Whitewater [real estate] Development Corporation.

Several people involved with the Whitewater corporation (including Clinton’s successor as governor) ultimately went to jail, but the Clintons never faced criminal prosecution. The issue of their involvement none-the-less lingered as Bill Clinton ran and was elected president.

I guess he was getting too close to the truth about Trump.
Man, he was right there, but he flew too close to the Sun.

Atlas will step up and carry this burden. Have faith mon frere.

He was really looking out for Hillary when he announced ten days before the election that he was re-opening the investigation wasn't he? [laughing]

Didn't you want his head when that happened ? I seem to remember the Dems were singing a different tune back then.

Do you know what this ? is? Do you agree with the firing?

No. It's a no win situation for Trump. Even if he is not guilty of collusion (which I think he is but I'll wait for the investigation to conclude), it has the appearance of trying to hide something. If he had nothing to worry about and did nothing wrong, he wouldn't even think of firing Comey. He would be mentioning how innocent he is every single day. An innocent person would mock investigators every single day.

Do you even find the wording of the letter extremely bizzare? "I know you have mentioned on three occasions that you are not investigating me..."

Yes....but Trump does a lot of what we see as "bizzare" things. I see it as him getting out the message of what Comey said about Trump not being investigated......Do you really think most of the media is going to report that fact in their reporting.

Is the Media interested in reporting or character assassination when it comes to Trump?

I'm still waiting on their reporting.

Classic Trump:

"While I greatly appreciate you informing me on three separate occasions that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau."

Aren't you glad we have a President that is wise enough to be open to counsel the way Bill Clinton was when he fired Sessions?

Does anyone else find it strange that Trump didn't have the balls to go on television and make the announcement himself?
He doesn't need to, MSM has it figured out.
