Sucks we had to lose Josh Moore (honestly didn’t see that coming because he has been big time into Huskers for awhile now and thought he’d love Frosts offense) but it’s awesome t get this 4 star CB. We need brotha CBs and WRs but CBS are a little more in need then WR at the moment.[/QUOT
Wish these kids who give us a chance with the new staff, if they were high on us with the last staff, I would think they would be excited to play under Frost. Oh well, good luck to him and we will move on. We saw what football was like with Riley, he could take a 4 star and make him look like a 2 star.

Early signee or feb delivery?

February signee and will report in the summer.

Smith talks about commitment to Nebraska

"I am planning on signing in February only because everyone else that is signing early is enrolling early at my school. Signing Day at my school is a pretty big deal. I am going to sign with Nebraska, though."

So he is a DB recruit... BUT

Smith is ready to come to Nebraska and do what he is asked. There is a lot to like about Smith's film and measurables playing defensive back. The Nebraska staff asked Smith what he may think about playing another position when he gets to Lincoln.

"I will do whatever they ask me to do," Smith said. "They did ask me whether I would rather play defensive back or receiver and I told them I would do either. I think that they are going to see where I can play soonest and leave me there."

So depending on how this class ends up, he could end up playing WR...

We are in need of both DBs and WRs, so I guess having a recruit that can play either way can be helpful.

If he doesn't come until the summer, is he more likely to end up playing WR since he could get on the field sooner?

After watching his highlights, his high school offense looks like a zone read offense similar to what Frost runs.

Odd reason to wait until February to sign if he really does intend to sign with us.

For starters, their brand of wimpy, inspid music is spawning new wimpy, inspid bands. That's bad, MKay. Imagine Dragons and Mumford and Sons may be the worst thing that has happened to music since disco. Actually worse.

Take a dose of this 3 times a day for at least 8 weeks, then reassess for any recurrence of the scourge that is Imagine Dragons...

My 12 year old daughter would freak out if she read this comment.

Someday your currently 12 year old daughter will critique the musical taste of her children. It will just as silly of a discussion then as it is now.

People have different tastes, Mkay? Your declarative statements are useless.

I think your song is boring. You are free to like it anyway.

You think Imagine Dragons is "wimpy" but that song isn't? That's like a bad Wallflowers cover band trying to do their own stuff.

To each their own.

Imagine Dragons is the only artist with two songs in the Top Ten Most Downloaded Songs in Rock History "Radioactive" (No. 1) and "Demons" (No. 8). I missed Son Volt on the list.

Crazy, people think their taste in music should be everyone's. I myself am not a huge Imagine Dragons fan, but it doesn't "suck" just because it's not my go to music. I own music from the 40's-current because I think having an open mind to almost everything frees up some good in anything.

I also don't think I'm cool because all I listen to is indie music, but to each their own I guess?

Son Volt wouldn't be considered Indie, but regardless, it would have been great to see someone post The Stones or Beatles or Van Morrison or The Small Faces or the like. John Lennon and Steve Marriott would roll over in their graves if they heard Imagine Dragons.

The song has backbone, which is clearly devoid in anything I've ever heard from Imagine Dragons. The wimpiest, most gutless music I've ever come across.

Not sure how this thread turned into a music battle, but everyone has a preferred sound that they like. So for anyone to say someone else's musical choices "Suck" is always only a matter of opinion and never fact. The thing is, I am a fan of talent and innovators.

Pink Floyd for example... So many people consider them one of the greatest bands of all time. Not one of them is "Amazing" at the instruments they play, but damnit they played their sound perfectly and it just worked!

Tool for example... I would never argue that Danny Carey is not one of the best drummers out there and an innovator of a certain style of music... I don't like the style. Does it mean it sucks, HELL NO

Dirty Loops for example... Yeah most likely none of you have ever heard of this band before, but this band has one of the best bass players in the world. You'd never know it because the singer sounds like a boy band, and the music is Pop oriented. If you don't believe me look up the band and the bassist Henrik Linder

Queen for example... I would argue till the end of time that Queen is the most innovative band of all time, and I'd put Freddie Mercury's voice up against anyone's. I respect the hell out of this band, but not my favorite style

Rage Against the Machine for example... Find me a guitarist that is more innovative than Tom Morello! You could maybe argue Matt Bellamy from Muse, but his guitar is pretty specific. Obviously Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen are in the mix here too, but they played a traditional style that has been copied 10 times over. You won't be seeing that with Morello

I could go on and on, but I respect anyone with talent!

Lennon was a fan of most music, he even complimented the B-52's....

My favorite 60's music wouldn't be the Beatles at the top. Kinks, Guess Who, the Animals.... 70's ELO, Pink Floyd, etc...

I just don't find it constructive to destruct anyone else's tastes.

None of that means anything. But we get it, you don’t like Imagine Dragons. Congrats on your refined musical palette.

Love the Kinks! We're working on covering Lola right now. Burton Cummings had one of the best voices to ever grace R and R music. And ELO is just great on so many levels. I have a new appreciation for Pink Floyd, even though I find a lot of their music to be a little too slow in tempo. But they have some very unique chord progressions.

The Beatles were so far ahead of their time that it's just bewildering. How anyone can listen to Side B of Abbey Road and not be amazed at the utter genius they are listening to, is completely beyond me.

Probably imagine dragons. Kids today have no spines.

You know, you make a good point. Spineless music >>> spineless kids. So parents, remove all Imagine Dragons and Mumford and Sons from your kids music collections. Unless of course you want a son that becomes an ice skater.
