Agree on all points. I really hope she lights it up and shows what she can do. And I agree that a lot of her shots felt rushed. I think a half second or a second to set feet and get the proper form would have translated to a lot more makes last season. She has started putting the ball on the floor and driving from the wing, which I think we'll see continue to develop which will help with the close outs.Agree bradarbo8. Laila got rushed up. I think teams running out/focusing on her threw her a bit. I am hoping that another year of experience will help her a lot.
Also if she develops a fake and a quick dribble and shoot move she can make, it will slow down the run out defense she saw..
Bottom line LH can really shoot the ball and being smart and talented I expect her to have another big step season. JMO.
And her defense I thought was top notch - maybe not to Indya's level, but she was able to guard the ball, was in position, and was able to protect the rim and block shots when guarding guards.
I think having her, Brooks, and Burrows gives us a lot of depth at the wing position on both offense and defense. It should allow us to play the hot hand and give us more weapons to match up against taller teams.
